Is anyone else having this issue. When going to the PR Checker for your site does it say: Unable to check system at this time or error in issuing Page Rank check? Just curious.
Does anyone have a pr checker error issue?

Anyone else going through training and it tells you to do something and then the next training session explains more detailed about what you just did? Like the session you were
I have personally joined several affiliate programs, cause some of them have higher commission rates than others. But my main one is Amazon - in my personal experience they are "technically" the easiest to handle.(links, banners and all).
What ever I don't use I just sign off them.
Hope this helps you out.

I have been with WA since August. I did those lessons and looked at the affiliate programs and wondered what to do with them. I had no experience at this point. I have a Cat Care web site and I knew I wanted Amazon . I went with that and now I am totally busy with one affiliate. I now need traffic and that is my focus. I don't think I could handle more than one affiliate at this time. My next website will be handled better.

I am currently with 15 affiliates (including Amazon) for my music site. Finishing the content on that tomorrow. Don't know if that answers your question.
I think we can join as many as we want. In fact affiliate marketing is a relationship of individuals, groups, organizations helping each other to grow their own interest and businesses.
For those affiliates which you think are not helping you you can just dump them for they might just use your website for their own benefit.
If you find a better affiliate program than one you have already, then sign up for it. A lot of how you use an affiliate is going to depend on the content you have written around the product or service offered by the affiliate. For example, you find a product on Amazon the you would like to promote. You sign up for Amazon Affiliates. Later, you find an affiliate that offers the product at a better deal for you.
This is the point where you have to ask yourself, "What is better for my reader?" Readers are likely to look to see if Amazon has the product. If they see the product is cheaper for them on Amazon but you are pointing them to a place where it will cost them more, you have lost their trust as a resource for filling their needs Always put the customer first!
Besides, you get paid for everything they buy through Amazon, where you may not at another affiliate.
So do your homework. Put the reader's needs first and build trust. A reader who is satisfied with you is likely to give their friends, family and associates your website as a resource, thus you will get more sales in the long run.

I am just wondering about this as I am having a bit of a tough time deciding on my first Domain name. I understand about the whole preference of using a .com over say a .org or
Thanks for asking this question Dean.
I have two websites with hyphens and .com cause I thought .com would be better NO MATTER WHAT...Now I am regretting it...
Learned my lesson!

Thank you all for the responses to my question. A follow up if you will.....Does anyone have and use a .com and .org with the same name? How does each perform?
you would have two competing sites there, competing with yourself, and dividing up the content for both when people tend to aim for maximum content to boost their main site...well if you put all your resources into one you may do better as an authority site than two small ones
some people buy multiple domain names to avoid competition...not everyone though
I have a .com and a .net the .com is better. More people REMEMBER .com! They just typ in .com with out hardly any thought.
It depend on the niche and your personal choice. Companies also have .org, .net or .com. But if it is a business purpose a dot com suits best.
I think a .com is better simply because it is most comon but I have domain names also ending with .net, .help, .org. .us and .info
I think although even though the rules have changed for the .orgs (use to be associated with non-profits) lots of folks may still tend to associate a .org with a non-profit...but I may be wrong about that. Maybe do some reading about each one and if you have a great name, possibly won't matter too much...I have seen successful websites with any and all.
The use of a .com is always preferable, however, many people do not have problems with .net or .info.
It is recommended that you never use hyphens as this is not something that many think about entering when they try to go to your site without benefit of SERPS.
You really want to make your domain name one that people will remember; It is more than just for branding, it is also for easy remembering. There also many large, very popular websites that run under .net
That's the answer I was looking for. I thought the whole, use a hyphen or a dash or something else would be an problem. Thanks for the help.
I was told that is always better to have your own domain and if possible .com because it brings better results. I am a new member as well but just following instructions. I bought my own domain through WA and is a .com good luck buddy
