I want to host my site with an alternate provider, how to I get my account off WA?
You'll need to backup or export your site and restore/import it at your new host.'
As for the domain name, you'll need to initiate a transfer from the new host's site and then provide the EPP code for verification. You can get the EPP code under Websites > Site Domains in the Settings menu under Transfer Domain.
It's generally the host that you're transferring to that should assist you with the transfer. You'd need to ask them what you'll need to do etc. Here's a link to one backup tutorial, but a quick search in the box at the top will reveal several more: Full Backup With a Plugin

Why not download an html copy of your site from WIX and then simply upload it to your new wordpress.
This can be done if your WIX is wordpress based.
If so then you simply Export a copy and then Import it into its new home.
When you transfer your domain over to WA you should also transfer the site content as well.
Support should be able to do this for you without using a Plugin.
