How Old Are You and How Far Have You Come?
On the 28th of July 2020 an affiliate Marketer was born. Her name is Candy Benn.
Her dream, to build a successful online business. This dream will give the marketer financial freedom and in turn options.
I am 5 months and 8 days old today.
Can I possibly be an expert at five month old? NO, but boy am I better at 5 than I was at one.
Why? I didn't sit still. I learnt something daily and put into practice what I learned.
This is not meant to self promote but it is how we grow.
Get Better Daily
That slogan "Get Better Daily", should be our life's goal and one we apply to our business. It has certainly become mine.
This is why I read about my chosen field daily and slot out writing time.
My WAfamily the first time you cooked you didn't get it quite rights but I bet you got better with time.
Nothing is ever right the first time, sometimes not the second or third time around either so stop over thinking it.
Can a baby feed himself with a spoon? Not right off the bat but as with everything the more that child is allowed to use a spoon the better he will become at it.
As we prepare our content we often wonder if we are getting it right. How will other people view it? Should I change a or b?
There Will Always Be Room For Improvement
Firstly in every facet of life there is always room for improvement so get over it. Perfection is overrated and we will make mistakes. It's what separates us from God.
So if this is your best work today, post that content and allow yourself to just forget about it for a little while.
Step away, move on. Let some time pass then revisit it. I'll bet you will do a better job of improving it if you let it sit for a while.
Beside if you learn something new daily I bet you will have something new to apply to it when you revisit.
Every day, we can learn something new that we can use to improve our business so do that.
Eventually you'll get comfortable and you will write faster, better, the words will flow more easily but there will always be room for improvements.
One day you will find that your site is looking as well as those awesome sites you once admired.
Everything takes time.
Of Recent, I have spent much time working on my old content. Much of this is due to my new love for SEO, thanks to the new AIOSEO and the clean explanation that comes with my theme. Be sure to catch Jay's training on this. AIOSEO is a dream, I can't get enough of it.
Yes, I'm also a baby getting comfortable with my spoon.
How About You
How about you WAFamily. How old are you and how far have you come. You are in competition with no one so don't compare your progress with those others.
Rather, when you look at your site do you feel like you are growing, becoming more confident, becoming an expert? Do you feel more confident with what you share? That is where your progress lies.

I work full time too, so I just do something each day, and keep going. I’m really enjoying the process.
You are right Candy, at 6 months I’m not ready to walk yet, but I could be on solid food soon!

Awesome, Lin. That's progress indeed. In those six months you moved from a to d so you have achieved a measure of success.
To what extent you have achieve success is really dependent on your goals.

I feel that I can learn and grow from every encounter I have or whatever I am challenged to do. The more I experience the more confident I feel. What a beautiful new affiliate marketer. Is she thinking about going Premium Plus?
Lol. Not yet. There is tons of content at this level that I have not yet mastered.
Not only that but I need to be able to justify that additional amount and im not there yet.
When I am confident that I have mastered this level I will move up.
I have no doubt that I will be earning enough to justify the upgrade by then.
I must agree with you. Each experience helps us to learn and grow.
We may not recognise it consciously but we are always changed by our experience, good or bad.
I honestly believe that it's in those challenges that we grow the most.
