Hi All,

Surprise surprise. I have been a member for about a week and am concerned about the amount of content I can generate for the niche I chose about the camping life

Not sure if you would be to write 1000 articles every day in any niche
The fact that there are other website doing the same thing is really good news because there must be a lot of money in this niche

The second great thing about lots of completion is that you can see what is selling and begin to model their marketing

The more competition the better your chances of making money
Don't try and re-invent the wheel follow what already successful

When there is lots of competition it means their is a very large slice of money available.
Its easier to grab a small piece of a large cake than it is to grab a large piece of a small cake

Question to ask your self - Can you make money doing commentary on a sports team

Barry

You will need to generate a new domain name. Use Jaaxy for help in finding a one with enough traffic and a QSR around 100. review SEO training to help you make your selection. And you are correct if you are not happy with your chosen niche how is the time to change because you will be writing a post at least weekly in the beginning. If you need more help please let me know.

What is a QSR.

I would just down niche it, which is what I did with my own, which was about pro football apparel, but have since decided to focus on helmets and jerseys and their histories; something I've seen very few sites do well; many just have photos but no real stories, or vice versa!

I do think you might have something with the Cardinals. Being a huge Browns fan, I'm actually thinking of doing this in time; perhaps a history of, plus commentary. Especially now that the team's finally in a decent position to win!

You can definitely do the same with the MLB's Cardinals.

Thanks Todd. Yes, the Browns are looking good!

Hi - if you have already lost interest in your chosen niche, then this will reflect in your writing and of course, as you said, you won't have the desire to keep producing content on a regular basis.

It is good that you discovered this at an early stage. You can change your niche, but if you have already purchased a domain, you can't change the name of it.

Do you have a plan for monetizing your new niche?

Thanks Diane. I do not yet have a plan for monetizing and expect to get some help from Kyle in part 3 of the training.
