I agree with what has already been said. Also, I am not a fan of having your posts on your home page, but that is just my opinion... Otherwise, I think you did great!

I took a look at your web site and I think that you're doing a great job on it. However, for SEO purposes, your images need to have Alt tags, image descriptions etc'.
You need to make sure that, when the the big G spider comes a crawlin, that it knows what your images are supposed to be. The robots can only read text, that's why you need to have all your images with Alt tags and descriptions. Live long and Prosper!
Food definitely does matter! I am actually a big cook myself, I love to cook for the family and learning new recipes. While we mostly eat spanish food that is really delicious, we are also very open to other variations of food. Love to see your posts, think they are very informative to me especially. Keep up the great work on your site, and I think you should definitely implement KingFishers suggestions to your website. :)

The training here will take you thru the process of registering with Google yahoo and bing. there are important registrations including the sitemap. Once all that is done you need to write and write and use keywords and do what Siamjerry mentions below. You need to also set up Google plus which is covered in the training And link all your posts to it. Google gives preferential treatment to Google plus users. All this and more is involved. I almost get the impression that your question is more about ranking than indexing. Anyway blessings on your work
Thank you Tae. No I was really referring to indexing. Been here for a week and from the site manager info, no bot has yet dropped by.
I do not know at which stage in the process you are. I am also assuming that you target Google. Your website needs to have content, which you create by pages and posts. This content needs to be quality content, minimum 500-800 words per page/post. You will need a couple of pages and posts like that and Google will then rank you within 4-6 weeks. Yes, they do not go overnight. How to get ranked high is another story.
