Google plus is shutting down in April 2019
According to CNN, https://www.cnn.com/2018/12/10/tech/google-plus-bug/index.ht... Google plus has had a second major "bug": that affected 52.5 million accounts in November. And with this second embarassing privacy issue in two months, they will shut down in April 2019.
I don't know about you guys, but I guess I won't be posting there anymore...
I find it kind of odd that a huge company like Google gets hacked! That really mean that no one is safe online!

And I was just getting comfortable in there, and had started to develop a presence.
However i had heard that they are keeping the business site open, so may just be a case of crossing over.
I heard of Google my business, but this is the first I hear about Google + business?? Can you send me a link please?
Still trying to find it myself. A cohort on another blog on here mentioned it and have read into some of the US reports that say the same,.But they also mention that individuals will not be allowed on the business site that its intention is B-B only and that the reason for the delayed close schedule is to allow business to transfer and set up their accounts.
So possibly it is an APK that has yet to be rolled out.
Not that it would be any use if it is only going to B2B.
Yeah, I won't be posting there anymore either. I don't see the point. It is worrisome that Google, who basically controlls the internet, is being hacked like this.

Sounds like the shut down date has been moved up.
If memory serves me it was slated for shut down in August (?) of 2019 and honestly, I haven't posted anything on that platform since I first heard about the shut down a few months ago.
I am all for anything that doesn't start with "face" and end in "book" and was hopeful G+ would be a respectable alternative. :-(
Not sure what's going on in their playground offices these days but it is disturbing to hear about a company this large with a market share of digital and cyber geniuses drops the ball and gets hacked.
Could be an inside job? I mean Verizon Google and at&t are some of the largest internet providers in the world!!!
What an interesting thought...Would not surprise me. :-)
