Do you use Site Content? It's the ultimate writing platform!

I have been working part-time at my MMO niche for a little over a year now and I have reached another milestone, this time in Site Content.

Over 100,000 words!

The actual word count for my website is 106566 words as of today.

Since I did not start right away with Site Content, there are a few articles that I wrote back in January 2018 that are not part of the count I have in my screenshot.

This is the part of the platform is where I spend most of my time.

It has a little learning curve, it's not yet perfect, but it has a lot of advantages!

  • Autosave
  • Grammar check
  • Writing stats
  • Create your own templates.
  • and a bunch of other neat stuff

However, the biggest advantage for me is the image part. Instead of going through multiple websites looking for copyright free images, you have access to over 1 million images right from the editor! That is huge.

You can also upload you own image in there as well, and from what I understand (correct me here if I am wrong), when you publish directly to your Wordpress from Site Content, the images also get some sort of compression, which is always good!

Now on to my next 100,000 words 🙂

I have used site content from day 1 at WA and I’m really comfortable with it. I am one that likes using my templates and it helps me stay on track for the number of words written whether I’m writing an article or a review. It’s so routine for me. :)

Renee

I agree Renee, the templates are great and it keeps me from forgetting important parts... It has become a routine for me as well!

That wordcount is a whole novel in fiction. Super cool. I'm only at 41,060 since August 2018.

I write away from WA because I don't have much self control. The lure of the notifications is too much for me to resist. Then I cut & paste into WA's Site Content for editing and image search before going over to WordPress. I love the image search feature. I also like the easy editing options if you upload your own pic; WordPress has them but they're more awkward to use.

I hope your next hundred thousand words goes well!

When I first started out with Site Content, I used to do the same thing, but eventually, I realized that cut and paste was a waste of time for me because I had to re-align and format the text again in Site Content, so I started writing directly into it.

It has glitches but the advantages surpass the glitches. 🙂

Thanks for stopping by!

Formatting definitely has to happen in Site Content rather than wherever I write but I don't bother formatting that first draft. I just go for speed. I hope I eventually develop the self control to write in site content and ignore the tempting notifications of WA but right now, I need a cleaner option for writing. On days I have a post to write for my site, I don't even come to WA (or facebook or any social platform) until the post is done because I don't have much self control.

Mr. Blanchard,
thank you for your post and congratulations on 100K word milestone!!!
Best wishes,
Gints.

Thanks, Gints 🙂

Congratulations and well done.

I love site content and find it really useful in setting content goals.

Yes I agree about the images it saves a lot of time using these images and there are so many.

Keep up the good work

Here's to making it happen in 2019

Jennifer

Thank You, Jennifer! I will make it happen in 2019! That is another "goal" of mine! 🙂

You are most welcome

You are doing brilliantly

I think that you are closer than you think.

All the very best success to you

Have a great week

Jennifer

Since I have only just started thank for the suggestion, I like the notion that you can create your own template

Yes, Thomas, there are many advantages of using the platform!

Since you are just starting out, if you ever run into some glitches or whatever else you need, don't hesitate to send me a PM, I will be happy to help!

Site content is definitely a treasure to have. I enjoy tracking my output as well, and of course the features you mentioned are A1

Great post

Thank you Shannon!

Hi Denis.

Great output.

I'm actually writing an article about how it seems some people get caught up in community activities, to the detriment of the time they could be spending building up their websites. Great to see that you appear to have found the balance.

Great advice too about the images. I haven't reached that part of my lessons yet, lolz, but I'm looking forward to it as my websites are bland and monotone right now.

Anyway, thumbs up for your achievement.

Regards,

Tayo
PS I don't see website links in your sidebar?

Hey Tayo,
Thanks for chiming in my friend! I have to ask where you were (on my website or on the WA platform) when you were searching for a website?
I have a static landing page for the Home page of my website, and you can find the link to it on my profile...

At 100,000 words, you are setting the bar high. This is impressive.

Thank you Ahimbe!

That's an achievement. Much love and time poured out on it.

Thanks Jimmy 🙂

You are welcome.

Great post D. Great achievement with writing over 100,000 words. I can't even think about that much yet. But I do enjoy writing using SiteContent. Seems like the perfect writing platform.

Danny

I use it all time. It has a few glitches but the advantages are far more important.

Yes me too. It does have a few glitches but it's not enough to worry about.

Danny
