Why Do We Want To LearnTraditional Education is broken. It's a joke now to be taught by someone who has never made a dime in the private sector. I just took a couple of weeks off to take an on line course. I wanted to improve my communication skills so I took a NLP Course. My WA rank fell from 6898 to 10170 but I'm not here for the rank.Subjective not ObjectiveFor those of you that don't know what NLP is it stands for Neural Linguistic Programming. The study of the Structure of Subjective Exper

The HunterIn an earlier blog on my website I talked about building your Network, and the difference between having a hunter's mentality opposed to a farmer's mentality. That having a hunter's mentality would cause frustration and a feeling that your always chasing the next sale or prospect. That using a high-powered sales presentation to bag that sale or to recruit that prospect may work occasionally, but will eventually lead to discouragement and frustration. A feeling that your always chas

This is One ViewRetail is dead, that’s how Marc Andreessen sees it. The entrepreneur and tech investor was recently quoted saying that all physical retail stores will die, succumbing eventually to the vast sea of online competition. According to Andreessen, there will be one way to shop for everything and that way will be e-commerce.And Then There Is AnotherThis view by the founder of Netscape might be biased and a little over pessimistic, but one thing is clear, Brick and Mortar stores

2 Billion WebsitesI was reading today that there are now over 2 billion websites in the world.4 Million BlogsI also read that there are 4 million blogs published daily. Getting Indexed is a Big DealThis says a couple of things to me. First there are a lot of websites that are sitting idle. They either don't have blogs or don't publish very often. Still, 4 million blogs published daily is a big number. It's more reason to be proud of yourself when a blog of yours gets indexed by Goggle. Take Pri

The HabitWhat is a habit? The basic definition is that it's a more or less fixed way of thinking, willing or feeling, acquired through the repetition of a mental experience, that becomes imprinted in your neural pathway. Every habit forms a mental loop, that includes a cue, a routine and a reward.Cue, Routine, Reward Take sucking your thumb for instance. The cue is when the child feels threatened or afraid or unsure of himself. The routine is putting the thumb in your mouth and sucking it. The

Wanting More Out of LifeAfter over 30 years in Brick and Mortar Retail, the thought of ever going back appalled me. The thought kept coming to me that I'm capable of so much more. The desire to live a bigger life, would not go away, instead it became stronger and stronger. I started to think that I could have a different life.I Was ShockedI was shocked to find out, that my subconscious didn't want me to think about having a better life. Anytime I thought of ways to change, I was immediately bom

Creative ImaginationHave you ever thought of the possibility that there's more to you, than what your living? If you have than you have felt your creative imagination stirring. Maybe it's trying to tell you something. According to Maxwell Maltz, we are all "goal striving mechanisms". And it's our God given imagination that pushes us to be better and do better than we think we can. Too many ignore this voice within themselves. It's Healthy And Normal To Want MoreIt's not selfish or egotistical to

What Is Self-ImageAccording to Maxwell Maltz in his ground breaking book "Psycho-Cybernetics", Self-Image is the sub-conscious framework, of how we see life and ourselves. Everyone has one and most of us are not even aware of it, and that's a problem. It means we may have powerful beliefs about ourselves and the world, that we can't challenge or change because we're not even aware of them.Internal DialogueThere are things that influence us and how we present ourselves to the world, that we are

Wrote a blog post about how the Boomer Generation should be regarded as the greatest because of the tech boom from 1970-2000. And it was ranked by Google, where, I have no idea, probably on page ten or so but it's still cool. When I do my keyword research I usally pick keywords that get 300 or so searches a month. I wrote an earlier blog about when I was in College we only had one phone for the whole Fraternity house and nobody seemed to mind, now we can't leave our house without our phones.Wen

The Linear Life PlanUntil recently the charting of our lives has been very neat and predictable. First you learned, then you worked, then you died. There are a number of reasons we accepted the Linear Life Plan.First it fulfilled the biological and social requirements of a short life span. Second it was tradition, you were expected to act your age. Third it was the law, we created Government regulations and Institutional rules that prescribed the ages at which we should go to school, begin and
