Expanding Your Circle
In my attempt to expand my circle and get different perspectives I checked out Meetup. Typed in word press and was surprised to see a meetup group that focused on Wordpress.
Went last night and was surprised that 40 or 50 people were in attendance, they also have a Facebook Group. It was fantastic and they covered a lot of info that we've covered in our training.
They talked about keywords and how to use effectively. They talked about the importance of using graphics in our posts. Suggested checking out unsplash.com for free graphics and if you have a bunch of cool pictures you can upload to unsplash and get visitors through your own pics. They talked about widgets, why categories are important and discussed the viability of having multiple websites.
I could go on but if you're wanting to totally immerse yourself in how to get the most out of your website, check out meetup and see if they have a word press group in your area. Good way to network and meet people who are attempting to build businesses on-line. And get alot of different information on what others have found out.
