Enjoy the Journey
The journey starts with a single step, and like most journeys mine has been filled with both surprises and dissappointments. Having a belief, that you can reach your destination, no matter what the obsticles, is key. And in the end, coming to realize, that it was never the destination but the journey that was important. For it's only through perseverance and believing in yourself, that reaching your goal is possible. Nothing is possible if your not willing to take that first step. And being plesantly surprised, when you come upon an oasis, as opposed to expecting that oasis to always be over the next rise. To patiently put one foot in front of another, is how hugh deserts have been crossed. To enjoy meeting and helping fellow bedowins, learn the traderoutes your familiar with, while at the same time being open to exploring unfamiliar routes, makes the journey that much more rewarding. It helps if you love the desert.
