Blog, website, podcast, Youtube, email? - I have several dozen short stories - NYC taxi/Uber driving, Vietnam war, farm boy life, wife's life in Africa growing up, leaving Evan

There is not a better option to publish your stories friend. Use all means necessary to publish them. You might get a platform that has better features to help you publish them, but that may not be the best option like for traffic, exposure, etc.
If you're just getting started, then it is best to focus on one option of your choice. Then, you might want to publish your stories on as many platforms as you'd like. All the best!

Thank you!

I use Kindle Direct Publishing, David! Free to list for as long as you like--e-books, paperbacks. Check them out and read thoroughly! If you have any questions, feel free to send a PM. Jeff

Hi Jeffery! Enjoy your posts...getting ready to share someof my life stuff...

Awesome, can't wait to read them!

Jeff

The training will help you better understand your options. You might even consider publishing them on Amazon and getting paid.

But I would certainly get a website up. If you added the Wordpress Plugin WooCommerce you could sell them directly on your website.

"Sell them"...? Can you explain? Thank you!

OK...will check it out! Thanks!!

That's where all my stuff is published! Enjoy!

Jeff

Yes, Kindle publishing. I see Jeff provided a link for you.

I would suggest that you work through the lessons and the training. You will learn so much about making your way around the internet. I notice you are in Level 1 . Have you started building your website yet? That is the first place to start. Build your website, decide on a niche and take it one step at a time. By the time you get to Level 5, you will have a firm idea of which way to go.
If you've written short stories, you should not have any trouble writing content. And you will be taught how to write content that will help monetize your site. It's an interesting journey. Don't rush it. If anybody can teach you how to make money through writing and maintaining your website, it is WA.
All your answers, are in the Lessons. Work through them.
But if you find something that you can't find an answer to, please ask. There is plenty of help at WA.
Best of luck to you.

Thank you so much Barbara!

Hi

I'd say know your audience well and where they hangout.

Once you know where they are at and what questions they are asking then you can use below tool

https://answersocrates.com/ for further research into finding a subcategory starting out. You can search what real people are asking as in Questions, Prepositions, Comparisons, in the past, letters and query. It is also great if someone wants to write a thorough research based article.

But having a blog does not harm, it is your asset and you piece on the web. The others are accessories to your blog.

More to add imagine any of the social media platforms goes bust tomorrow, the day after, and you have built your media and channel, what would happen then? All your efforts and hard work have gone down the drain. BUT, with a blog, you are rock solid! It is yours and yours to keep.

Thank you for your advice and all the best!

This morning, my site has 16 spam trackback requests - I can go to Comments and delete each one, one at a time...they're from 16 different IP addresses...I can copy each IP int

Had some issues uploading, that SiteSupport have resolved, so apologies that it's late, but this video might help others with the same question :-)

Thanks! Yes, it took a day but this un-checking that setting did the trick....

Spam blockers can help

Not had that

A similar question was asked yesterday that includes steps on how to disable these. I am also about to upload a video for this as well

Not had a problem

I believe Media serves yahoo and bing for ads...waiting weeks for adsense approval...

HA! After several weeks of google emailing me that they were unable to review our site for adsense approval, just got their "you're approved" message....am posting this for others also waiting....maybe some movement finally!

It can take weeks for adsense approval, or years : ) as in my case. Adsense is based on content on your site and though I had tried 3 or 4 times before and been refused, when I came to WA and started following the training, my application was quickly accepted.

I do use an alternative as well, which you can see on my blog ( the first one of my profile here) under sponsored links. This pays verrrryyyyyy nicely, direct to bank

Dave thank you....I'm unsure about the alternative you mentioned? (that's on your blog)

Great question following for the answer

They denied me the first time I applied. I plan to reapply again.

Was notified several weeks ago by Google that they could not review our site yet for approving Adsense....what to do?

Hi Roy and James

I had the same trouble when I tried to sign up for Google Adsense. I got rejected a couple of times. One of the things that it looked like I had to do was revise my Privacy Policy, to include specific wording that they wanted. If you'd like to see what I included in my Privacy Policy, please look at https://tinyallotment.com/privacy-policy/

Other than that, it might have been that there wasn't enough content on my site - I do think this bit of the training comes a bit early on and perhaps we all need to create more content before Google Adsense will accept our sites.

Anyway, after trying a few times, I did finally get accepted onto the Adsense programme, but now I'm thinking I want to delete it, because there are so many ads popping up all over my posts that interfere with my content!

Hope this helps you both.
All the best
Alison

Sorry, should have directed this in the first place to David, who posted the question. Sorry David!

Thank you so much Alison!

Thank you Alison. I have checked my privacy policy and it seems like i have to do some editing.🤓

Thank Alison, I'll go have a look too!

Hey David, I'm stuck in the same boat as you at the moment. It is most likely due to the current global situations that google is taking longer. I've also been notified a few times that they cannot review my site yet. Don't stress, we'll get through this together.

James

Hi James, I've just posted a reply to your comment, see above.
Alison

Hi David. I think you just have to be patient and wait. Maybe send them an email or call them.

I am also waiting to be approved for Google AdSense, but has been rejected twice already for unknown reasons.
In the rejection, they point out that i have to correct a couple of things. In order to do that I am asked to go to my AdSense account and read further on why I was rejected.

I have done as asked and followed all the instructions from Google, but still cannot understand what I need to correct.

Hi - can you create your disclaimer as an image? Add it to a box or banner image. Google will then not look at the words in it.

HA! Will see if I can...many thanks!!
