A Personal Photo is More Professional
I have been online for a long time and I see many new members of different platforms with pictures of dogs or cats, or company logos. I don't know how you feel about it, however I really don't like to engage with people that I can't see what they look like.
Will a personal photo get your more business?
It is a proven fact that a personal photo will get you more business. If you are happy with another photo, that is fine for you. Some people are too shy to put their photo out on the net. Well maybe you are too shy too build an online business.

It comes down to how each individual feels Dave, starting out some folks feel a little insecure moving along it is about getting the message out there a photo creates trust. It is not so much that folks are buying from you they are buying into your brand. That may be a simplified view.
Every time that you engage on line someone somewhere is taking and gaining information about you, it is always good to be master of your own ship.

Absolutely...a good quality photo makes a huge difference in sales. People can identify with you...
As long as it's on their website, I think that's important. It is def more personal and let's the reader know who you are. Best of luck!
My feeling is if you want to brand yourself, show people what you look like. Does not matter if you are cute or ugly, or you are not picture perfect, just being able to look in the persons eye. Thanks for sharing.

I have, over the years, experimented. I prefer my logo because I don't like getting called fat, ugly, etc. Just my .02
Great comment Mel. Never let people get you down what you look like. We are all human and we all have challenges. People will take you for who you are, not what you look like.
