Hi, Everyone...

I will keep a running tab of the niches and members that have expressed interest in them within this post.

The purpose is so that any WA member can quickly find a niche or subject that is of interest to them and join a group...

We can start a group with as little as two members, so do not be discouraged if yours is not listed or you add a niche and there are few others in the same niche...

Add the niche you are interested in below in the comment section, and I will update the post...If there is even one more member that is doing something close, you can take advantage of the group concept...

As we get more than one member for each, I will add in notes as to how the members are forming up, who the group leader is, etc.

This post will serve as the one-stop-shop for groups until we come up with something better...

Before we get into the groups and members, I wanted to put a bit of background so all who may just be checking on this can get up to speed on how we got to this point...

History Of This Program

In case you have missed out on the series of posts that I have made on the Wealthy Affiliate Group Mentoring project, here is a list from first to the one before this one...You can quickly catch up so you get an idea of how this is shaping up...

(1) Initial Post Proposing Groups For Mentoring

Feedback:

There was an outpouring of support for such a program here, and with the exception of a few members who questioned the wisdom or value of group mentoring, I added this second post a few days later...

(3) I added a post that covered typical group ground rules

Intent:

This laid out expectations for groups and the norms that should be strived for by members...All successful groups have some common attributes, and it is good to know what you are entering into when you decide to join...

(4) I discussed roles are normally found in groups and what the expectations are for people filling these roles...

Intent and Background:

This was also the point that Kyle chimed in on the original post and I added his input to the idea. This gave us further legitimacy, although there was one person who thought Kyle's input was stating NOT to form the groups...

Here is what Kyle posted (so all are clear)...

People Read Things Differently...

One person replied thanking Kyle for straightening this out and commented the following:

"...Any offshoots are just Alphas coming up with ideas, and I hope that in the future they would PM. you so as not to cause confusion within the group. As Veronica said, 500,000 people, attempts at change are inevitable. Remember what got you here folks Kyle and Carson put this together and it has worked, don't ever forget that..."

I had to chuckle at this comment, fair enough and everyone has their opinion...I did remind her that this is not my first time around the block and I know the value of groups and this place...

I did like the idea of being considered an Alpha though, I have not been put into that box for a long time, hehe!

This also brings home the point that communication using face-to-face, video, or voice can often be MORE effective than the written word, and reinforces my point that groups can be very useful in many settings, to include the Wealthy Affiliate and online marketing worlds...

(5) This was the Foundational Post for the subjects that I will lead groups in...

Intent:

This post laid out the plan for the groups I will lead, but it also serves as a blueprint, along with all the other posts, for other groups to follow so they achieve what they determine their goals are.

The groups are going to be self-directed, meaning that wach will determine what it is that they want to accomplish as a group and what each member wants to accomplish. It will be important that you have some kind of plan, otherwise you just have a gaggle...

UPDATE 12 JAN 2018

Things are progressing well, we are getting more eyes on the program and sign-ups for groups. As this will be an ongoing thing, once we set the groups up, I will list them here and who is in each...

As we have enough members wanting to join, I will add more groups to each subject/niche. As groups complete their missions, they will fall away and either members can join new groups or perhaps members are far enough along to the point they do not need another group...

I will ask that whoever the group leader is for each group to give me an update on the status of their groups when things change, i.e. a member falls out of the group, etc. The next thing would be for that group leader to make sure that group activities are published here for all WA members to see...

I will continue to update this post, it can be an anchor post (unless I move it all to the tutorial section here, which may make sense and also make it easier to fiind as time goes on)...

If off-site video calls or live streams are taking place, I will ask the group leader to provide minutes for all WA members to see and learn from. What would also be helpful would be to post the goals, strategies, and even tasks publicly for all to see and learn from...

Initially I will arbitrarily assign a group leader for these purposes, but once the group meets and gets started, members can take the group in any direction, and the group leader can be decided by members themselves...

Again, I will be posting some training on groups, how they work, the roles members can have, and how to make the best use of them in this setting...That will of course help all groups be more effective, as I expect there to be some discourse in the comment section of the training!

Right now there are two advisors, Catherine (kitkatskitchen) and myself. We will be available to help all groups get started and there to advise and help as needed.

We do need more volunteers for this role, as I have businesses to run, as does Catherine.

There will be times when we are out of the net, and it would be nice to be able to cover for one another when that happens...
