This is an image of an online store that is offered for sale on Flippa. There have been several people here that have built and sold websites after a couple of years and made a good profit...
Do you see what the sales figures are? Over $2 million in a year! THAT is a lot of sales!
Do you see what they are asking for the site? $550.000 USD. THAT is a lot to be asking!
They will very likely get this much from the sale is my guess. The economy is good, sales and business are good at the moment, and someone will want to buy a ready made business like this appears to be...
What Does It Mean For YOU?
You can do the very same thing. If you work hard at making your website and online business profitable this year, you are actually building a lot of value for the future.
Whoever owns this site and business has likely worked REALLY hard to get it to the stage it is now...They are cashing in!

That is what you are doing by being a member of Wealthy Affiliate and going through the lessons and the work to get your own business up and running...
It is nice to see some examples once in a while of others who have done the same and what their results are. Note the monthly net profit of that store: Over $20k!

This is a brand new year, and you now have an entire year to build your own future and a nice cash out or continue to make good money...

in other words you are talking about buiding a valuable "asset".
Completely agree with you.
Even more valuable when it is automated or semi-automated or another way to say it creating an asset that generates a passive or semi-passive income stream.
Some call them "money making machines".

Yes indeed, I like working to the point where I do not have to work but still have income coming in regularly...
It has worked more than a few times for me (i.e. retirements and real estate rental income) and I know it can work for others...
Let's all get some more "money making machines" in place this year!

Valid points all around there Dave, online, real estate is no different to the bricks and mortar versions there are so many opportunities unfolding, with the growing skill sets we are all developing here at WA, just dipping the toes into the website reno market.
You are right, Alex...The online business can really be as good as real estate if set up properly, and less work (after it is in place)...Good luck on the reno market, I have heard some really inspiring success stories...Cheers! Dave : )
