Busy Times In Paradise!
Hi Everyone...
I am in Dubai at the moment...It has been crazy/not crazy over the past couple of weeks for me, so I decided that I needed to take out just a bit of time to jot down some notes from the period, and also thought it might be fun to share here too...
Here is what has been going on...
CONSULTANT CONTRACT
I was fortunate enough to be offered a consultant contract for a friend's company that was using the Ramadan slow time to do a revamp of their 3 websites and their pretty much nonexistent social program...
This was to be a short term 5 day project, and indeed there was a lot done in that time. We looked at their themes, made some minor changes to two and did a complete new theme for the main website.
This is almost ready to go live, and with the help of their staff, I think we will have a very nice product for the owners. They have expressed a lot of appreciation for the results to now, so we will see...
On the social side of things, I advised them to stick with three main platforms: LinkedIn, Facebook (page), and Instagram. These complement one another well, fit well with their business (media company), and are not that hard to grasp how to use...
Accounts, a posting schedule, subjects, promotions, tools to help with organizing the accounts and linking up with their 3 websites, etc. plus getting the graphics and supporting materials plus more were all things we covered.
They will be assigning a small team to work together as an addition to other duties to manage and grow the platforms/social proof (likes/shares/comments/, etc.)...I will check in from time to time as needed (least I can do?).
I have managed to earn the credits of 6 full days access to their studio, equipment, and editing staff for any project that I want to bring in, within reason. This was worth a lot to my businesses...It was the compensation for my work...
If I had to pay full price? A cool $120k USD (this is what they would charge other companies)...This was a wise use of my time...
WEBSITE ROLL OUTS
While all this was going on, I also had some people working on three new Drop Shipping e-Commerce sites. They are in final stages and will go live in the next week (before end of this month)...
DOWN TIME
Of course, in keeping with the spirit of the season (downtime), I also took a few days to relax...Nothing spectacular, but I did get some beach time and some swimming time, plus book reading time (the old fashioned with like a cover and paper pages)...
WEALTHY AFFILIATE
Because of the amount of offline/online/downtime, I have had less time for Wealthy Affiliate. My ranking here has gone down by a third...This is what happens when you start really digging down and getting busy with the results of all your work here...
CONCLUSION
This kind of thing can happen to all of us here, the training sets us all up for having increased amounts of W's (wins) over time...The ranking you have here will go up and down...
Do not assume that people that are not in the top 25, 50 or 100 are not having any success with what is taught here. It is very likely that many are simply too busy to spend as much time as they would like on Wealthy Affiliate...
My thoughts...
As a leader of many people long ago, one of my mantras was that I always tried to work my way out of a job. This meant that part of my mission was to bring people along to the point that they knew as much or more as I did...
Essentially over time there was no need for me to be there, things would run whether I was or not. That is very much what you have here if you take advantage of what is here...We are being taught everything that Kyle and Carson (and others) know...
The Deliverable...
Apply the knowledge here and you can excel more than you ever imagined. I believe that and I believe in you! Nice to be home again at Wealthy Affiliate with all of you! I missed you...
Cheers!
