Another quick post today...This one is on drop shipping.
If you are considering, or perhaps are already into dropshipping as part of your website niche, I have a good and FREE resource for you to tap into for your research.
It is found on the AliDropShip website, and is free to use once you have registered (a simple email and password plus confirming that you want access in an immediate email you will receive is required).
It is called AliDropShip Insights. Once you have registered you can get into the tool and pull out a huge amount of valuable information about any niche, the best products. and the suppliers on AliExpress that are providing related products.
Even if you do not want to use the AliExpress platform for any reason, the data that you can glean is worth your time and effort. There are other sources for the products that you will find and it at least will provide you some starting points to use for comparison.

The site is very simple to use but it is effective. It is connected to the AliExpress website and can quickly pull down a lot of data that is up-to-date from the AliExpress database...

Reasons To Use This Free Tool
As with any niche or business that you enter, doing the research ahead of time is essential to know if you can compete, how much you might be able to sell, and at what price you can offer products...
You also will want to do more research with items and companies to make sure that they are reputable, have good quality products, and perhaps just as important, how they handle shipping and order fulfillment.
This tool is going to help you get an idea of what typically the best suppliers have to offer, and if getting faster shipment is desired, you can then use the information as base points to do the search for local suppliers.
Once you have identified some suppliers and potential products, you can visit their sites and see what customers are saying in the reviews. There you might identify some potential problem areas that you can provide solutions for.
AliDropShip does offer some very easy to use solutions for setting up your drop shipping business too, you can look elsewhere on the website for that information. I use them for about half my stores and it saves me a lot of time...
This is a very reputable company and I have found them to be very responsive so if you have any problems using the tool, just put in a support ticket in and they will help you pronto. The owner and the team are just as good as Carson and Kyle when it comes to being involved in their business and customers.

There you have it! I TOLD you this was going to be a short post today! In all seriousness, the drop shipping end of online business may or may not be something you can add to what you are currently doing.
We have had 20 stores operating for quite a while and are in the process of dropping that down to the best 7 stores (plus three others that we manage for clients) due to other areas of the business that are picking up.
It takes a lot of work, just as with an affiliate niche website, to keep the stores up. The work is similar in some ways, but there are other things to track and take care of that are different. It is not rocket science however.
Combining the two together (i.e. a niche website you have now plus adding a WooCommerce plugin for dropshipping) is very doable and it can generate some quick income for you while you build content, traffic, and commissions using the training guidelines found here.
There is a LOT more involved, but like I said, it is not hard, just it takes time. There are some training and blogs on dropshipping within the Wealthy Affiliate platform if you want to start with that, and as you drill down, this tool can be helpful as well.
Did I mention it is free to use AliDropShip Insights after you register? I LIKE free (and it does work well)...

You are quite welcome and I do think the affiliate and the dropshipping model complement one another. The SEO tasks are the same (keywords, good descriptions, etc,) and why not grab site visitors from two directions (affiliate promotions and selling products too)?

This is important info. for drop shippers. I have looked into staring that, but decided not to move in that direction because of the capital outlay.
Yes, it does dovetail nicely for many niches and is a way to generate some quick income...Rather than waiting for payment from commissions, you get paid upfront, then order the products for the buyer...
In our experience over the years, we are shooting for 25 - 30% average profit margin after expenses. That is a greater percentage than you get with many affiliate programs...
There are fewer steps involved as well but ones you have to look at carefully... For example...
This is where you lose sales/commissions: Slow loading sites, too many steps, sales pages that are not good, not having order bumps, even the payment gateways affect things...
The content and keywords will get you traffic, once you have it you want to maximize it, so the above areas (and more) are things to track/fix...
I like the more instant money factor, but of course, there is more to worry about too...Placing and tracking the orders, making sure they get their orders in a reasonable time, etc.
