I have been a member for almost one year and still have not made a sale yet

Last Update: October 02, 2016

I am almost up to my yearly membership renewal fee and I have not made a sale yet. I started out strong but after quite a while of no sales, my enthusiasm has started to fade. My site is preventingtoothdecay.com, in which I have been trying to promote a fish oil that I use to reverse tooth decay.

Should I try and think of a new niche or should I just give up? I have no idea what I should do.

When you want to climb the top and start selling Dave, you really need more posts, 12 is way too little for making any real money. Your site is about tooth decay. What do you know about other degenerative Illnesses? As artrose? Have you heard of MSM, methylsulfanylmethaan? You could expand your site with other human degenerative Illnesses.

You may visit my dutch website(translate present) for super food ideas.

Dave there is not much I can say except the following. This is mainly about big numbers. Imagine, a few percent (say 5%) of your visitors click through your link, then 5% of these 5% actually buy.

Now see your 12 posts and a few pages from this perspective and you realize you cannot expect to have many sales. You should have huge traffic first

Of course there are other ways, like social media (but this is my very weak side and cannot say much), or simply gold keywords. One such gold keyword can be enough to drive the site, but I am yet to find it, so better not count on it.

I have around 340 pages and posts and yet my traffic is far from good.

Maybe you should expand your niche to target a larger audience.
I for one, very rarely think about my teeth unless I'm having an issue.
Sure I brush them everyday, but I don't think about having to do it, I just do it as part of my daily hygiene.
What about something along the lines of 'Do You Puree Your Food T Barbecues. This could all revilve around the Health of Your Teeth, but you could inlclude bits about Barbecueing and Puree equipment.
Just my thoughts.

That's supposed to say 'Do You Puree Your Food At Barbecues'

I really need to turn my autocorrect back on even though I think it can be an Evil Monster

Blog - blog - blog - keywords - keywords - keywords.

Find other areas of health that are impacted because of tooth decay (and if there is tooth decay ... there are issues somewhere else in the body). When you research this, you'll have no problems finding something new to write about so you can build out your site. You'll likely even find additional affiliate products.

Hope this helps and God Bless!

Thanks Cathy, that is a really good suggestion, but I have just been losing motivation over many months and am almost at rock bottom now in terms of motivation to write for my site in that the last time I wrote something was about in may I think.

Well - Four or five months since you've blogged? That would be why you're not seeing any traction.

Working for yourself in the world of IM is all about attitude ... and just suggesting you "have the right attitude" doesn't change much. The "right" attitude is different for each person depending on their personality and their goals.

I think most of us have been where you are right now. So think about this ... do you really, really, really (more than any other career in the world) want to work for yourself? If not, then what is it you're not getting with your self-employment (whether part- or full-time) that you do get when you are working for somebody else?

Only you can make this decision and only you can weigh the pros and cons. Either you want this lifestyle (work for yourself) and are willing to put in the time and effort … or … you want that 9 to 5 and all the benefits that come with that lifestyle. It’s really hard to live in both worlds long-term.

Personally, I hope you hang around. The world can use the kind of self-care information you are providing. But we all support each other here at WA and I want what is best for you and will support whatever decision you make. God Bless!
