Tribute To Leicester

I can't believe it has been a month since I last posted a blog in this community, it seems like only yesterday, but, the dates don't lie : )

Truth be told, as most of you will be aware, or perhaps not : ) ... I spend my days building my list, which is growing very nicely and rapidly and also pays me monthly, which is nice. This is not forgetting the offers I promote from with that list, most of which are advertising solutions, which produce optins

BUT... that said, it would be remiss of me, not to mention the very very sad passing of the Leicester City Football club chairman and the other members of the helicopter, which happened tragically last week after Leicesters game against West Ham

So, for any members of the community here, who are affected by this tragedy, our thoughts and prayers are with you

I am a huge football fan, obsessive my wife might say and while watching the results last week on sky sports. learned of this horrible event. The reason my wiffe says I am obsessive is because, I follow football in general, through my two team Chelsea and AFC Wimbledon and the links those clubs have with others around the football world, which includes stats and stuff like that

The Leciester chairman, was by all accounts a great guy, very different from your normal run of the mill club chairman, because he actively embraced the community and helped a very underrated Manager Claudio Ranieri ( who also manged Chelsea, before Roman Took over in 2002/3) take Leicester to the title

It is hard to imagine the grief felt by the fans of, the coomunity of, the close to and immediate family of the guy, except to offer condolenses

It seems the world has lost a genuinely nice man

Equally it has come out this week, just how heroic the pilot was in avoiding hundreds of fans making their way from the stadium and steering the stricken craft ot its fateful destination.

I had to post this, for the benefit of the community here who are connected to the tragedy

As a huge football fan myself, I like you feel the loss of not only the Leicester fans but football itself, as it can ill-afford the loss of genuine people in positions of power within our precious game

Absolutely, thanks for commenting

It is pretty sad. Thank you for the share

Your welcome and thansk for commenting

That tragedy was so horrible by taking the life of owner of Leciester club. Even the co-pilot lover's just gone like that. This week is a darkest week for the entire football player and fans of Leciester. I don't want measure what the family are feeling right now.
The bible says in every situation give thanks to God, We that are alive we thank God on their behalf, my God give them a resting place and peace.

My their soul RIP.

Thanks for commenting Omosomi

Nice one Dave, I feel sure there are quite a few football (soccer) fans on WA.
I too am a huge football fan and my wife winds me up by saying that "it's only a game!"
It is at moments like this when it is NOT only a game, it is a way of life for many people.

From what I have read Vichai was a really great man who did a lot for others. He also gave the City of Leicester something that they will probably never repeat - the Premiership title.

He will be sadly missed I am sure. Let's hope the family will continue to run the club and not find it too hard to carry on.

Our hearts go out to his family and also all of Leicester.

Your sentiments echoed entirely Jon, thanks for commenting

A great man indeed

Absolutely, thanks for commenting

Great words and thoughts Dave!

A real TRIBUTE!

Thanks Zsolt

I can understand the grief in this tragedy. I just recently started following soccer on a world stage due to major league soccer here in my hometown. Good tribute post Dave.
Take care

Thanks and glad you likeed it. I also follow MLS too, its certainly coming up and probably around the championship standard here in the UK

Hi Dave,
Words are difficult at this sad time as I often go to Leicester to meetings, not living far away, though I am a Derby season ticket holder, football like the WA is a family.
The Foxes were incredible supporters of our annual Poppy Appeal, and I have arranged for a Senior Official of the County Royal British Legion to attend the funeral.
With sincere sympathy.
Stuart

Thansk fro the reply Stuart

Where do I click to see my website

Thank you for this tribute. I am from Leicester and my son and partner are both huge fans. My son travelled to all of their European games and is a long standing season ticket holder. Since he was 5 years old.
Vichai gave our city the impossible dream and helped our city with quiet donations to many causes. He will be sadly missed by everyone. It still feels surreal and we are a city in mourning.
With Grace and Gratitude
Karen

I'm glad it helped and you liked it Karen. I think the players are very brave for wanting to play on Saturday as well, but as they say its what he would have wanted

He would definitely want them to play but it will hard for them. Though their first home game will be the hardest.
