SCA (Strong Customer Authentication ) Starts September 15 2019
This posy is for the benefit of those of you who have a WooCommerce or eCommerce site, which take/s payments through whateve gateway you use on the site...
SCASCA is known as Strong Customer Authentication and means that when someone buys a product from your site, then the customer will be taken through an extra level of security which verifies your customers payment details
That in itself is pretty much the norm when transactions are done online
However...There is a strong word of caution, which you need to be aware of, because if the payment processor, is not SCA authorised or verified, then there is a very good possibility that any commissions you would earn from the sale of that product, you may not earn them
Most reputable pay processors are / have implemeted the neccessary condtions for SCA, which has been brought in to prevent you / your customers from losing money to unscrupulous firms/ companies who are currently operating online
If the company you use for processing payments is reputable, then they should have this covered and you won't face any issues
If you are buying through one of these sites which is not SCA approved, then pleasebe aware of this

Thank you Dave for this useful information.
Although, I don't do any direct sale yet on my website. But its good to know. I was wondering when my bank sent a notice recently about changes in the way they do things, security wise. So this is the reason.
Well done.
Wishing you a pleasant weekend.
