Linkedin 160% Rise in 7 days
I thought I would share this post with the community, because outside of here, Google+ and YouTube, its the only other place I network on a daily basis, I have touched on the reasons why in other blog posts on my profile here : )
Today, I was invited, mainly because of the activity I do on a daily basis, to take advantage of their premium membership on a trial basis, for the next 30 days... It is free, so why not?
Anyway that done, once I had set it up, I then looked at my notifications and who had viewed my profile, I get a lot of profile views there, because I have an optimised profile, so its always getting hits and connection requests, as my previous post will explain
Now I had 450 profile views during the last 7 days, which is excellent considering, that though I use it daily, I don't use it anywhere near the way I should, but thats because I am more into Google+ and YouTube...
However, those 450 Profile views, equate to an 160% Rise in views in the last 7 days
I am pleased about that : )
Fom that, I have been asked to take part in a survey for small businesses, been asked to view websites for potential issues and hosting resolutions and been contacted by the CEO of a couple of large companies, for various potential projects
So all in all I am very happy.
Linkedin is a great place to do business and because of its business orientated manner, when I now get invites to connect, I invite them to follow and Join me on Google+
The invite they get, is very different from any other invite they will get, of that I am sure, from conversations I have had with a people there, because my invite, asks them to follow me on Google+ and if they want to know the reasons why, then they are given two further links
My WA profile link, which has Google+ posts on it &
My WA blog, which has a whole ton of added info, relating to Google+, YouTube and WordPress as well as reviews too : )
The intention being to get them over to WA and gain projects from them
So, if you are yet to try Linkedin, why not, for the newbies amongs you reading this, its a platform which works soley on recommendation and it is known as the White Collar Network
in short it works

Thanks for this post. Linkedin is the first "social media" (if you can call it that) site that I got started with a while back. It has helped me advance in my career path in the past by forming connections with colleagues and recruiters. I have never really thought about it using it for affiliate marketing but I may need to reconsider. Thanks, Dave.
Best Wishes,
Mike
Linkedin is primarily a business social network, which works the same as a family tree, but has grreat productivity from it, anyone can use the platform, but you find that those who use regullary are the cream of the business world, from CEOs to the independent
Heck it even has a blog too, so you can post to your network and the entire platform, now that proves quite useful
Thanks Dave!
I’ve been on LinkedIn for years but had stepped away from it since I became disabled and am no longer working in my previous industry. But it didn’t even occur to me to use it to build my business here.
Great wake up call!

Dave my Friend!
You got me to look at LinkedIn from a whole new perspective.
I have been a member for years, but never did anything with it, and I actually thought it was kind of invasive in some sort of weird and personal way. Always asking to search my contacts to find other LinkedIn members
Then there was the paid version, which they push on me every so often. That kind of turned me off also.
But reading your post made me realize that these are already businessmen and businesswomen (for the most part anyway) and the hard part of convincing someone of the benefits of being an entrepreneur is already done!
I will definitely have to get back to my membership and take a serious look at what I can do with it! I have less than a hundred connections there but will get that to increase. Every little bit counts in the long run right?
Thanks for your insight!
Denis
Denis, thanks for the comment, every single member of Linkedin, is a business professional, thet EXPECT to do business. Granted there are few what I would call amateur 'affiliate marketers' who have no idea how to use the platform, so they fo off to Facebook.
That leaves the cream and believe me, its a rewarding platform, I'm luck to have been on it since the start and when used properly, you make some very useful connections and get sdme good dorrs opened

Oh boy I post to linked in but do not use it as effectively as I could. Same with Twitter.
I think I need to take time out from content writing and concentrate on these social platforms more.
Lesson learnt. So thank you for sharing this post
With Grace and Gratitude

Thanks for commenting Karen. From experience I use Google+, YouTube and Linkedin as you have read, using Twitter for backlinking if needs be, but that is only if needs be
