Google Adsense
Yesterday, I received a letter from Google Adsense.I was with my wife at the time, and she said, why are google writing to you?
I said, its because I have Google Adsense on my Blog, so when people click on ads, I get paid a commission from Google. This letter contains the PIN to verify our addresss so I can get paid
"Oh She said"... "But you haven't had that running long on your blog have you?"
No I said, not that long and the ads shown are relative to content written.
So on our arrival back at our lovely lakeside lodge, I logged in to my adsense account on my office PC
I got a very nice surprise, because so far, just this month the ads showing on my main WA blog have earned me £7.52
Now that might not sound much, but the point is, this, thats this months earnings so far.
They get added to my overall balance, and when the threshold reaches £60, Google Pays you, but requires you enter a PIN no to verify your address, hence my letter
My balance so far is very close to the threshold for payment, so naturally I am happy
Why tell this story?
Because, this has come from following the training here at WA
Adsense runs very quietly in the back ground on your site
You choose the ads that are shown and where on your blog they are shown
You submit good content, more ads get shown, more clicks happen and you get paid
So...
If you are thinking about adding adsense to your site, go ahead and apply, its well worth it
Google is the only one of the search engines as far as I know, that runs this type of venture
Though there are other 'rev share' programmes out there, which work in a similar way, beware and check them out.
There are also a couple of good plugins that do the job just as well.
Applied education is the difference

Must feel good to get that sort of post, Dave, rather than just bills.
I haven't received any exciting letter from Google yet and my earnings on AdSense this month are only £1.02. Based on my experience, I would say it's only worthwhile having it on your blog if you get a good amount of traffic. Otherwise, you may not earn more than a few pennies.
However, if you regard this as an extra you don't need to work for, it's worth trying.
Thanks for commenting Sammy, to answer your question, its kind of invisible money really, so I focus on my content and go from there

Thx for sharing Dave and congratulations! I’d just like to emphasise one point so please correct my understanding if it is wrong.
This is that the website owner is given opportuniy to “choose” the ads that are placed by Google Adsense and I wonder therefore if this means that Google passes responsibly to the owner of the website for the legitimacy of all ads that appear?
The owner does get the chance to vet the ads Will in so much as you can choose when auto setting ads up, to have them based on the content you are producing.
In my case its affiliate news and reviews, so it will always be fairly current and ads based on that.
Does that help
I’ll send DM Dave, website owners do need to be cautious.
