Does Online Advertising Pay
It has been a while since I last posted in this community, the reason for that is that myself and my lovely wife had a two week break / vacation in the UK, which was very nice and restful.
So what does the title have to do with "Does Online Advertising Pay" ?
I shall explain in a moment... But first, let me give you a brief tour of our holiday.
We started off in the Llanfoist area of Monmouth in South Wales, not far from Abergavenny and stayed in a delightul and very restful Annexe, called White Rose, situatred some 500 feet above sea level and just about the most remotest place it could be
However, the accomodation more than made up for the location and if anything, it was a brilliant home from home, with lovely hosts who lived nerxt door and made us feelk very welcome
Now, I took my laptop with me, so as I could best I could, do some WA work and advertising in so called downtime or moments in the day when I check my WordPress Updates
These were done 2 twice a day, every other day along with some advertising...
While in Llanfoist, we visited Aberfan as we found it was close by and given what had happened there years ago, went to visit it... There was also a book in the cottage aboiut it, which made me want to go and see for myself
It was a very moving moment, visiting the site of the old school, which is now a rememberance garden and the cemetry which is further away and a very unique and very moving experience, one I will never forget
We also tried to venture on a different day to a place called the Big Pit, which another few hundred feet up a mountain close to where we were, but sadly, we gave this up as it was a bit to high in the car, which despite having a superb view was also tempered by a massive drop to the bottom, so we decided that Terra Firma was a better bet : ) and came back down
On arrival back at the cottage, I decided to check on some of my updates and do a bit of Advertising as well, which bring me on to the title of this post
Updates done, I then decided to check on my ad resources, to see what needed doing and what my traffic was like
Imagine my surprise when I found trhat the traffic sources I use had ...
Not only sent a ton of traffic my way, very pleasing indeed, but that those same traffic sources had also paid me, some very nice commissions as well
To highlight a couple of examples to show what I mean...
In one case I had earned more than enough commission through referrals to get an upgrade and bank cash
In another example, I had earned 3.5 times more income, in the space of a week, than the previous month
Now this sounds all very grand, but what does it actually mean?
Well in simple terms it meant I didn';t have to buy any advertising, because my advertising had paid and still does pay me very nicely, I get refferals and residual traffic and commissions daily weekly and monthly
It also meant that I didn't have to advertise while I was away, so that gave me time freedom to enjoy my break, which was very nice.
Now when we go away, we do things slightly differently and look for independent shops and pubs and those sorts of places that are tucked away, we get chatting to the staff and owners and I always take a business card from them , explaining that I have a blog and that I shall wriite a review on the blog & sent it to them
This I am in the process of doing currently
Our second week was spent in Westbury Sub Mendip clsoe to Bath and we took in the Roman Baths and 'bumped' quite literally into Jeremy Clarkson ( he of Top gear and now Who Wants to be a Millionaire ) but sadly he refused a selfie!!!
We also went to Wells, which we discovered was the town used in the Film Hot Fuzz and had some enjoyable moments there as well, though our accomodation fell short of expectations, due to an infestation of mice, which meant we had to relocate to Bath for the final too nights.
On checking my updates and advertising again, found my updates were zero and my advertising continuing to pay me for my promotions, so it was all very nice
So does Online Advertising Pay?... You betcha it does and when done correctly
Will lead to both Financial & Time Freedom, without you touching your main business

In other words, you will most likely not reveal your income source. The ad program or whatever it is. So, I am telling 3rd baseman don't hold your breath waiting on you to reveal how or where you actually made this money with Online Advertising. Now, don't take it too seriously. I don't share my websites or anything anymore. As he said "spill the beans"..."I said don't hold your breath."

I am a very transparent and honest person and happy to share any details of anything mentioned here at WA, either via a PM if it is going to help others here on their journey, or via email, depending on what it is they are asking.
Another thing to take into consideration is this, there are time zones and time differences, as well as a business and family committments to take care of, so if a reply is not immediately forthcoming, it doesn't mean that it is not gooing to appear
As it happens, I have replied directly to Terry and done so in a timely professional manner.
Finally, and without wishing to turn this in to a slanging match, which is the last thing on my mind, you don't know me from Adam, how I work, or what I do. so in my eyes, you are not in a posistion to pass judgement on me
I enjoy this community very much, I have made some good contacts and am usually a very positive person, feeling slightly under the weather at the moment, thanks to a cold I have been given by my cats hotel owner, and in all the time I have participated in this forum have never been attacked like that
I stand behind you 100% Dave. You have ALWAYS been extremely helpful to me and always go out of your way to give me full information when I ask. You are a very highly respected member here at WA in my opinion.

I did not attack you! I explained what you wanted me to explain as I saw it. So, take it however you want but again I did not attack you or I would have told you bluntly! Did you read where I said don't take this seriously? Did you read where I said there are things I don't share here? So, take it however you want but I was not attacking you! So, you have a good day or evening.
You know when you said spill the beans..at first all I said was Don't hold your breath. The rest of the story you know. But, I will not explain any further my feelings about this because the more you stir the pot the worse it smells! Have a good day.
