Commission Received $5.90
Today I received a smaller type of commission from a venture I have been with for around 12 Years
The commission was for $5.90 and granted it was not a huge payment, but I shall explain the story of the bigger meaning to it, mainly for the newer affiliates (Sorry, Business Owners, as thats what we are, as well as Affiliates!)
Some of you might relate to this story and I have featured parts of it on my profile here as well
However, for the first few years of my online journey, I was promotinjg
Opp after Opp after Opp .... Sound familiar
I was enjoying some success with it, but no the real success that everyone else seemeed to be having
Then in 2008, i was introduced to a book, which would absolutely change my entire online marketing strategy
The book explained that you have to attract people to you and your list ,throguh sometyhing called attraction marketing
This made absolute sense to me, totally. So I changed the way I markted and promoted overnight and started applying the principles in the book massively
I needed a blog and a List.... The list I got easily, the blog ,I now have with WA, but only after some disastourous stiop offs and Bluehost and Hostgator to name but too
Having applied these principles, I then had one overriding goal
To leave my then secure day job... To work full time online
Within 6 months, that dream had become a reality, massivley
It worked!!! ....
From that day forth, til now, I have received various types of commissions from people in different sectors of life ranging from
Other Home Business Owners through to CEO's ( yes you read that right!) of large companies
Commissions have varied from $10, to Thousands of dollars this latest one of $5.90 and even a few years ago I received a commission notification of $465 from a chappie on Linkedin, who to this day I still never spoken to in any form, except by a very odd occassional email communication
My blog gets shared with all and sundry, all the links on it work and are current and it is built in accordance with the training here
But...
When you apply attraction marketing techniques to the content and publish it, your blog is
"Out there 24/7/365" a Virtual Salesman working for you, while you sleep
So if you are just starting out, or been here for a few months and not seeing any traction
Fear not,m follow the Online Course, then the bootcamp, make your writing attractive and then your hard work will come to fruition
There really isn';t any sight quite so sweet as an email that pops into your inbox saying
"Coingrats You Made a Commission of $X"

What's funny is the rate small commissions can add up, but the ease of big commissions is not much more than that of smaller ones. Just do what you do with the mini paydays with targeting a different audience. I have a single program that pays me $8 a month in commissions on several referrals made 3-6 years ago. It pays for itself and pays for my WA Premium Membership as well. It pays my minimums so I can focus on the maximums.
Don't scoff at small sums folks they are a huge blessing when you are not making anything or only need a bit to carry on.

I had the same issue Roy, but made the decision when I had equalled my monthly salary to go. This book went a large way towards that.
As brand bloggers which we all are then I can't think of another way of earning income which equals this
Having your own online business with a platform like WA certainly beats being an opp hopper
That's interesting Dave, it's amazing how some things have the ability to change our life, especially if we take action!
I love the freedom of being self-employed and having an online business can bring even more freedom.

Very welcome. Hey I just had a thought about your offline business. Have you considered making your WA blog a consultancy type blog for your offline biz, because at some point, assuming you have one, you will need an exit strategy of some sort.
Just a thought you may have already had.

Interesting tip , I am still confused about this affiliate path but I am taking step by step from any action. I have taken a few seminars about dropshipping and such for the free 2 hour class but they end up asking me to charge 500$ to 1000$ just to listen pre recorded radios which is insane and such . At least around here I can get some actual tip from the community here.
