Awesome News!

This post is intended for those who are slightly newer to the platform and might be wondering why their contwnt is notbeing indexed as fast as they think it should.

I just had an email from Wealthy Affiliate, which I have copied below

"Awesome news Dave!

Your content published through SiteContent at Wealthy Affiliate has been found in Google! This means that Google has your page within their index to display within the search results. This is amazing!

Here is what was found in Google on November 21, 2019:

Google Blogger 5 Things You need to Know ...
davehayes.co/google-blogger-5-things-you-need-to-know

Now that you are indexed in Google you can view your Google, Bing, and Yahoo Search engine rankings using the Jaaxy SiteRank platform. To access this platform, click on the "Jaaxy" link in your main menu at WA, then choose "SiteRank". You can enter any keyword, and the URL to check and track your search rankings. It's a brilliant tool!"

Now, I have published blog posts two different ways since being on this platform

1. Direct to Blog

2. From Site Content

Without any doubt or question, when content is published from Site Content to WordPress and Edited in the post editor, Google and other search engines find it much quicker.

There are a number of benefits of using Site Content, the main one being documented in this post

You can...

See how many words you have written

Use pre formated templates if you so wish

Request comments on your post from within the community

Requesting comments, helps show Google that your site is gaining trust.

Google likes Trusted Authority Sites... a Lot

So if you are slightly newer here, then this is a great way to get your content indexed quicker

If you follow, if you do, then soon you will reap what you sow, because Applied education is the difference

Hello Dave,

Thanks for your informative post-Dave.

I try and use site content when I can. I normally write into a Word document and then paste into site content, unfortunately, I do find Site Content slightly temperamental, although it's working better than it used to for me!

I would definitely recommend people to use Site Content, it's also fascinating to see how many words we have written over a period of time.

Enjoy your weekend Dave.

Thanks Dave you are right about the Site Content Tool! It is a powerful method to have your content recognized quickly by the major search engines.I used that tool on all my content and have a record of every word that I have used to write my posts, now over 200,000 words! Many of my posts have made the first page for my niche,on Google, Yahoo and Bing!

Crikey 200,000 words, makes my 37,000 look pale by comparison, but well done

Hey John,

This may seem like a real newbie question.

Do you use SiteContent for WA blogs too?

It has crossed my mind many times.

Maxine

No I write those direct to page.

Great strides buddy!

Good information to know, Dave!

Jeff

Thanks

Dave I am chuffed for you.
Well done

Thanks

Thanks for sharing.

If you want your content to be indexed fast, this is what you must do:

1. Share your post on social media immediately after posting.
2. Ask for comments from WA
3. Go into Google Search console, click on URL Inspection and submit your post for indexing. That could take a few days but usually I receive a message from WA that my article is indexed.

But know that indexing is different from ranking. Indexing precedes ranking. Indexing means Google now has your content in their index. Now, they're going to figure out where to place it in their search results. That is the ranking.

Appreciate that Akoli, and those added extras ARE done, but the purpose of this post was to show the iniital indexation process for newer members, who will still be feeling their way round the platform

But I think it helps to let them know the difference between indewing and ranking. I had it all wrong until recently. I was indexed but my traffic was nothing and I was wondering why. The answer was indexing isn't ranking. It's to save new members the heartaches I went through.
