Mister Spider

Last Update: November 15, 2021

A light hearted look at life after my morose weekend.

I spotted this busy little spider on my morning walk today. Even he is on the WEB (pun intended).

Look closely at the photo, it looks like he’s been keeping up with the training. He has multiple sources of income; he has built himself two webs – catch a fly both sides of the sign post.

A prompt for all of us to get on with it and double our efforts to build those extra income streams.

I wish the little chap all the luck in the world.

And good luck to all of you too.

Bux

I have never been the biggest fan of spiders my friend, and some of the bruts I witnessed in Brazil were, well terrifying!!

But I can appreciate all of the hard work they must put in, day in, day out in order to be successful!

It pleases me greatly to hear that your mojo has returned my friend and I wish you an extremely productive week ahead!:-)🦏

Thanks Nick, that's really appreciated. It just seemed very appropriate, a spider with multiple sources of food.

I've never been to Brazil, most of my work was India and Indonesia and they must have had spidery cousins there too.
Take care of yourselves.

What you encountered may have been a "garden spider." When I was a kid, I was always impressed by the webs these guys made and how patiently they'd wait in the middle of their web for their next meal.

I could never figure out how they managed to string their webs between trees.

Well, as they say. if there's a will, there's a way.

Where I live now, we have tarantulas. At a local archery range I used to go to (barn doors have nothing to worry about over my skill with a bow), they were everywhere. If you encountered one, they'd rear up and display their rather intimidating fangs. Unlike what you see in the movies, they aren't really all that poisonous. They possess way less venom than your average honey bee.

But they could probably bite you pretty well.

I'll take the patient, serene garden spider any day of the week.

I'll do my best, Bux! They would be a wonderful addition to your crew, but I retain the brand! 🤣
