I need a good song
Help. I need something to perk me up.
All my motivation has gone. Just gone, vanished, whoosh, no more.
For three days now I’ve tried to get myself up and at it again but no, it’s not working.
After the bad effects of my booster jab and the rather heavy police presence because of last week’s murder I thought that maybe by Thursday I would be up and at it again.
But no. Nothing is happening.
So, my friends, please suggest something motivational to get The Bux back up and charging again.
How do you motivate yourself.
What do you do to get those creative waves circulating again.
Is there a song or a movie to watch.
I don’t know. I’ve tried a nice bracing walk several times, through some beautiful scenery as you can see from the photo, but as soon as I sit at the PC it’s just psfffff, gone.
This isn't me. I need something, I’ll try anything.
Help.

There it is, those downs that come! Sometimes you just need to reset, sit back and enjoy whatever it is that you enjoy, then come back and read some posts here and BOOM! You are back at it, motivated and full of ideas, creating post after post! 😁☺️ You've got this!
Thank you Lisa. Yes, its back and booming. Too many unavoidable problems and upsets the last few weeks. I just had to give them time to move down the ranking of importance.
Thanks, Dave.
We often need to just decide to get on with it.
This week has been one of those for me, as well.
Need to shift gears, intentionally, to get out of the rut!
Nothing like a bit of Rock and Roll!
It also help when stuck in snow!! LOL

Good morning Dave,
I'm sorry that you are slightly under the weather, I think this can happen to all of us from time to time. However, we have to do what we can to motivate ourselves.
I have also just read your previous blog post, Dave, I'm sorry to hear what happened.
I think probably, or certainly, for me living in the UK, November and December are probably the worst months. The days are getting shorter and shorter and the weather is getting cooler. However, the good news is that after Christmas the days start to lengthen, spring bulbs start to appear and we see signs of spring!
There are many things we can do to help to motivate ourselves. Here are a few suggestions that help me.
Take a long walk in the countryside and enjoy the scenery and everything has to offer. (I think you may be doing that)
Meet up with a good friend.
Read and respond to motivational posts at Wealthy Affiliate. (It gets me in the mood for writing and taking action)
I subscribe to Audible, I have many motivational audiobooks which I find very encouraging. There is some good motivational stuff on youtube
Watch a good comedy. For me, Laurel and Hardy are fantastic, I always laugh however many times I have seen their films! I'm sure there are plenty of more comedy films available.
As a Christian, it also gives me great hope.
Wishing you all the best.
Roy
Thanks Roy, yes I've been getting too many walks recently. When I need motivation a nice walk USUALLY works. Some great countryside around here.
Thanks
Bux
Hello Bux,
That's great Bux, sometimes we just need to take a step back and take a short break from everything. Great countryside also helps, it sounds like you live in a nice part of the world in Somerset, despite the antics going on down the road!
I really genuinely hope that you get back to normal quickly, Bux.
Roy
Thank you Roy.
The police are still here, but a lesser presence. It's normally a sleepy little corner here.
I think that was part of my problem. I was having to adjust my working hours because of all the chaos and noise and I was not adjusting very well.
Never mind, keep going. This week will be better.
Bux
It's a pleasure, Bux.
It's amazing how these things can affect our routine. It's important to have that quiet space around us where we can focus. I do hope that this week is going much better.
Wishing you all the best.
Roy
Ha ha Roy. No chance. The police forensics are still down there. They are searching for something. We don't know but this is 12 days of searching the house so far. They had generators and spotlights until 2 am last night. Never mind, they have a job to.
Things will get back to normal.

I feel the same at the moment, but just keep writing. Maybe pre Christmas blues, I don’t know. There is a website called brain.fm that gives music to help focus, I tried it and good, but have run out of the free option. I think I will upgrade to paid. But try the free version and see if it works for you. It has been scientifically tested etc etc.
I just keep writing, good or bad, it puts me in a rhythm. Hard to break the habit once the ink hits the veins.
Steve.
Yep, off the cuff as always, will charge you à bazillion dollars if you plagiarize. Lol. Feel free.
Stevoi.
Thanks Steve,
Not sure what it is, just lost the lot. It will come back but oh boy, the frustration.
Habit, as you say, so used to getting stuff done every day.

Did you see Cantys comments on Jeff’s post.
The clouds look unhappy
Chase them down the road.
Love that…

I have felt the same couple of days now. I sat down today and just wrote myself out of the fuzz. For me it is just doing, like it or not, I will not stop. Life is shite sometimes, we just have to get through it. I have had many problems in my life, mostly self inflicted..but I just keep trying…..
Stevoi
No I didn’t, yes it’s lovely. Maybe someone should compile a book of the best quotes from WA? @JeffreyBrown how about you? Or @MellWaller ?
Don’t think I’ve succeeded in tagging them 😳
No I didn't Steve. I've checked but nothing there from Canty. But I can google search the words and that will take me to a video I'm sure.
Cheers

Hi Dave pleasant evening I have been there just recently, it is a very depressing and frustrating time.
One of the things that helped me, I left everything and I took a long drive with my family. We talked, laughed, stopped and took in a hilarious movie, we went and bought ice cream; we hooked up with some old friends and I really had a time of my life which I hadn't done in a long time.
Sometimes we find ourselves caught up wanting to finish what we have started and didn't even realize the amount of hours we have been sitting and wanting to finish.
Take time to laugh, spend time with family and most of all take R&R. Best of luck.
Ah yes Elodie. Good idea but my family are a 1000 miles away. I think its just a bad reaction to my Covid jab. I've still got a 4 inch bruise after 10 days.
It will pass, I might be down but not out.
Take care yourself
Dave

Do some very positive things. Watch a funny movie to juggle your mind away from what you can't do. Talk to a good friend and see what creative things they are doing.
Do you like classical music? Find an inspiring piece, and listen to it. Is there something special you'd really like to try and haven't yet? Maybe this is the time.
Hope your motivation returns, stronger than before.
Its back now Fran. Just a temporary glitch
Thanks for your concern.
Dave.
