Hospital Entertainment for Bux
I’m back from another session in hospital. I eventually found the escape route.
So today, I have a serious question that would have helped during my enforced boredom.
How can I save certain WA blogs as PDF files so that, if I go into hospital again – a definite - I can get them emailed to my phone in hospital and have the opportunity to read them as pdfs on my phone.
Every couple of weeks one of you super colleagues will post a really interesting blog post that I want to re-read for the help that it contains, but with no internet connection available to me in the hospital, Is there a way to save it directly as a pdf? I can then email the pdf to myself before I go to hospital, for reading on my phone at my leisure (?) in hospital.
I know there are better things to be doing at 2am in the morning, but tied to a bed with intravenous thingies in my arm leaves one wanting some sort of distraction.
I think my next niche might be intravenous beer. I could handle that.
Any way folks, I would really appreciate your ideas, thoughts and suggestions on this topic.
What is a simple way to save a WA blog post as a pdf
Or indeed, is there a better way to do this?
Keep safe everyone
Apologies for the short blog, both hands heavily bandaged.

Hi Buddy, sorry to hear about the new way you’re going to have to ingest beer.
Also try this PDF converter. It is free( my favorite cost) and converts to and from PDF.
https://www.freepdfconvert.com/
I used one a few years ago when I had to convert a whole lot of stuff. I can’t find that one but hopefully this can do the trick. I wonder if you can set up a bot or some AI prompt for when new training comes through it will convert automatically to a PSF and send it to you..hmmm. Could be a market for this.
If both hands are bandaged you have done a great job if your using your mitts. Why don’t you use a speech to text tool like…
Google cloud speech to text

OMG….look at the size of that…
Maybe that’s what the nurses will say..
Ahem…when you show them this of course… lol

That really made me smile, lifted my spirits Stevoi.
Chuck showed me that I already had the facility on my PC, so now i have a a WA PDFs folder and the blogs that I want to save can all go in there ready for use.
Mitts and typing, I've got two fingers on each hand poking through the bandages, If I take it steady and keep checking my typing I am ok. Slow but ok.
I tried speech to text a couple of years back, not a success, but two years is a long time in computer development, maybe I should give your recommendation a shot.
Talking of shots - I like your hospital hotel art-work. I'll vote for that.
Damn cancer, I'm winning, but its tough.
Keep charging.

I remember my big op with C.
Some of the times it was quite amusing. I do have a weird sense of humor. But here is one of my hospital stories.
For example, lol. I remember after the op the doctor asking the nurse if ny bandage jhad been changed, Thats the bandage over where the colostomy bag was going to go..
The Nurse ripped off the bandage, none to gently by the way.....but, as soon as she ripped it off, there was a 6 foot waterfall of shit that cascaded from my side, hit the roof, the wall and the doctor. Lol, I was so full of morphine I just cackled away as the doctor staggered from the room, gagging and shouting at the nurse to clean it up. Lol.
So It was not all "spiritually enlightening, some was like "Jackson Pollock" and fecal decoration with "Hieronymous Bosch" and the 7 levels of hell. lol.
The one thing that got me through was humor. I was in so much pain I actually learned to like the pain.
Those who haven’t been through bad pain just don’t get it, but I loved it.
It meant I was alive.
You have got this, this is just a peek into the light.
Stevoi
Jeez..about 10 years. Actually died in the op table and saw my grandpa who said I had to go back…
Was never a big believer before that…
But yeh… a lot of funny shite ( not metaphorical..lol) happened too.
I am going to write a book about it and getting back to work.
I can do a chapter on my exploding colostomy bag in a toilet were I worked in Vietnam. I repainted all walls and myself..lol
The cleaner walked in after me… she looked at me in shock and I watched her walk out the gate and leave..lol
Stevoi
Did the cleaner leave any parting comments. or just silently walk off - that's the worst - saying nothing and doing a walk into the sunset.
I shouldn't, but it made me smile.
Let's look after ourselves.

Bux-I'm glad you’re ok now. Sounds like you got great answers from other members. Take care of yourself! 😀
Thanks Brenda. Yes, things took off in a bad way on Thursday. Back home now and pre-planning the next event.
Take care.

No fun! But now you’re more prepared. Hope it works out for you. Surprise me that NHS in UK not have Internet? Most hospitals here do in USA. I could even bring my iPhone and iPad use their wifi system. I can watch movies only thing in ER they don't allow phones but because Im Deaf I need my iPhone to communicate text with anyone so they allow it.
I was surprised too. Other places I've been to have signs on the wall ...
login in as ward 11

I am Myra. So simple, so very simple, when you know how.
I've now got a WA PDF file set up to save my look-again blogs in.
Hope you are in good form.
Bux 🌹
That's great that you were able to save your WA blogs using PDF, Bux.
So far, I am hanging in there and I hope that you feel better soon.
Myra ♥️
Hi Bux!
Glad the right-click and save as PDF works for you.
Here's hoping you don't have to go back to the hospital anytime soon!
Thanks for the kind thoughts Howard.
It all starts again on Friday, hopefully they will not keep me in.
Keep fighting, keep charging, that's the secret.
Take care.

Hi Bux
Sorry to hear you were hospitalized, and I hope you fully recover soon!
You can copy the text and graphics of a WA blog post into a Google Doc and convert it to a .pdf, or just email it to yourself as a rich text doc.
Now, for the important bit!:
IV beer isn't really a thing, although I've had many hospitalized patients request it over the years! It would be a big money-maker ... Hmmm, Lol 😂 🤣 😆
Keep on Rockin' It! 🤘🍻🤘
Frank 🎸
LOL, I always wanted a Coffee IV, maybe you should invent them, coffee, beer etc :-)
Hi Kerri
What not? It could be marketed as a full IV Bar! Lol 😎
Rock On! 🤘
Frank 🎸
How do Frank. Thanks for the kind thoughts.
Getting over it, slowly, and the skin bleeds have stopped. Just got to keep them covered and keep taking the antibiotics.
Back at the hospital Friday, supposed to be setting a date for my chemo, but I think this has put it back a few weeks.
On the plus side, I remembered to take my phone AND charger and a set of earphones, so most of the weekend was spent lying back and enjoying the music.
Its still good to be back home.
Now I've got Keep the Customer Satisfied stuck in my head.
Look after yourself
