E Commerce? Help needed

Can I ask our community for some help and advice please.

I have many exam revision packs for a number of electrical exams. Included in each is not only a sample exam paper but also tips and tricks to revising for that particular exam, prompts to help when the learner is stuck on a question and an in depth section with the route to the answer and full working out of any calculations. They are all my own work and are all in PDF format, although I could put them into any format required.

First question. Does WA have an e-commerce ability to allow me to set up an on-line shop within my dot com website.

Second question. How would you go about selling the revision packs. Are there different methods available that I don’t yet know about.

All help is greatly appreciated. I just don’t know what to do.

Thanking you all in advance

I really am glad Bux asked this question- because of my field one of the main plans of even starting an affiliate site was to do something like this in the future. The answers here have given me so much food for thought

Time to put my thinking cap on, and plan. Thanks everyone for the answers

What a team we have here Chris. When I’m teaching I always suggest that the students ask the question in their head, there are probably others thinking the same.
Yes, some good replies, very useful.

I can’t help you, but I am looking forward to the answers.

Lots of interesting stuff Jim. I've printed them all off so I can choose the right plug-in. Good luck to you too my friend.

Hi Dave,
I am not sure Woo-Commerce would be the way to go for those.
A format that could work well, is combining Video for calculations with your PDF worksheets.
I would look at Udemy first. There are many courses on there that follow that format.
However if you want to try E-Comm then, most good Wordpress themes have the Woo option, without building another site.

Michael.

Interesting options, much appreciated Mick. Thank you.

Im lust moving onto WooCommerce, its a huge learning curve, and very time consuming. That might be because Im a bit thick but the other alternative would be to use a PayPal plugin to create a simple payment button through PayPal. I did that to start with, but products have gotten so vast that I really had no choice.

Thank you Helen, some really good information here. I'm printing off all the replies so I can have a big think. I've really got to do something with all these exam papers.
Thanks again

Option #1 is a plugin Woocommerce (free). It takes time to set up, but it is very well developed plugin, has a cart etc. It also has many add ons many are free plugins. You would control the entire process (setting up your product, customer billing payment etc.) It is a very comprehensive process.

That sounds good George. Thank you so much. we can always count on each other.
