Dried Peas

String a can’t I together sentence.

What a strange thing to happen, does anyone else ever have the same thing.

I woke up the other day and all I could see in my mind’s eye was a tray of dried peas. Dried Peas rattling and rolling around this metal tray. I’d obviously had something to do with dried peas recently, why else would they be in my head.

Later that day I opened the freezer and a bag of frozen peas had burst open. The freezer draw was awash with frozen peas. I emptied the drawer out and attempted to collect them all in a cup. I didn’t yet know what I was having to eat that evening, but whatever I cooked it was going to include peas.

And have you ever tried to catch a frozen pea. Crikey, they are quick. I ended up having to trap them one at a time between two dessert spoons, the little blighters.

So, peas in custody and a mushroom risotto on the hob I set about forgetting about dried peas. I had too much other thinking to do and this was one of those rare off days where I found concentrating difficult and losing track of my thoughts very easy.

Next morning, dried peas in the head again. I stumbled downstairs for my early morning caffeine boost and checked the freezer. No, all safe in there today, never mind. So, one coffee and one toast later I set off for my early morning walk.

And there, on a neighbours window sill is something else. Someone had dropped an expensive looking crystal necklace and some kind person had put it on the window sill so that the loser might come back and find it.

See the photo at the top of this blog.

As I walked across the Palace Fields my own thoughts crystallised too. Here was the message

My recent scatter-brained activities were just like the dried peas on a tray, all over the place, in no order, just rolling around. Or you could say that they were like the frozen peas that refused to be caught and put into a cup.

And the necklace. Well, that was dropped on the pavement but they all stayed together because they had all been strung together in a regimented order. They were organised, they weren’t going anywhere in a haphazard way.

That was what I had to do. Get my thoughts in order. Sit down and put this latest video onto paper and start to decide on some order to what was going to be done. As soon as I was home, I sat down in the kitchen with another coffee (obligatory) and a note pad and wrote everything down. Goodness me, did I feel better. I didn’t realise until I started just how much information I’d been carrying around loose in my head. Now that it was written down, organised and linked together it was easy to see how the next project was going to flow.

It worked, the said video is now finished and uploaded, all done. And I’m just about to sit down and organise the next one. Writing down my thoughts so that I can link them all together really worked.

So next time your head is awash with random thoughts and nothing is dropping into place, remember the dried peas and the necklace. You need to get them tied together in some sort of order, and then things can move forwards.

Wasn’t there a famous saying – Out of chaos, order

Or was it the other way round – Out of order, chaos

I can’t remember, my brains lost it now.

Your post made me smile Dave
. I had a pea incident this week but mine was all over the kitchen floor. The dog thought it was a great game. 😆😱
You share a great message though and a useful analogy. It's always good to get things out of our heads to make better sense of them and process them. Getting our ducks in a line certainly reduces the chaos.

Enjoy your weekend.

Tracy

That is another way to view it Tracy, ducks in a line. That makes a great visual image.
Visions of your dog chasing peas made me smile, its the sort of thing that dogs love to do.

Interesting messages have a habit of appearing around us when least expected my friend!

I believe it was 'out of chaos, order' but I could be completely wrong of course!

Have a fantastic Frisatsu Bux, and take it easy on the KFC's if you venture into Glastonbury ok!🤣

It didn’t happen Nick. I stayed home all day. But Tuesday is looking good for KFC, I go to Glastonbury market on Tuesdays.
And yes, careful with the diet.

Ahh ok... well take it easy on the KFC for Tuesday then Bux!

I hope you are having a fantastic Saturday my friend!

A very lazy Saturday so far, I don't suppose much will change on the activity scale for the rest of the day.
Wet and windy here, probably the same in France.
Enjoy what you can
Bux

Wet and windy is weather we haven't experienced for a couple of weeks now my friend...

Just below zero most of the time.... cloudy and freezing fog in the mornings is the norm... if the sun pops his head out just before setting... well that is a bonus!!

I always try my best to enjoy what I can on a daily basis though...

Take care buddy!!:-)

Good for you. Positive attitudes All round.

Organizing your peas into some type of order worked well for you. It will work well for anyone that tries to organize their thoughts. Once, you get your peas in order, you may find that you had other ideas that were trying to sprout and needed the room.
Jerry

I like the sprout pun Jerry.
What you are saying is ... P in order
