The Rain in Spain stays mainly in France
"The rain in Spain", goes the saying, "stays mainly in the plain". Well sorry, it seems that all the rain has moved to France, in fact, it seems to be all our house. I've been climbing in the barn to stem the flow of water and setting up water catchers (pans), all over the floor in an attempt to keep the water in check.
There are a couple of mini rivers in front of the barn and the gutters that I should have cleared in the summer (remember summer?), are backfilling. Singing row, row, row your boat has been banned. I did manage to get out for a run earlier today, just in time as more wet stuff came knocking on the roof.
However, the rain does not stop enjoying being here. We have a roaring log fire, good food, fine wine (except this month is Sober in October, in aid of Cancer research), and although we have rain, the temperatures are still around 18 degrees.
The rain does stop me completing a fallen down stone wall, repairing the barn roof and pulling up some weeds in the courtyard. It cannot stop posting on the Internet though. Have a pleasant Sunday evening all.

Sounds like a lot of fun, Dave! I used to have basement flooding during the rainy months!
Be safe!
Jeff
Loved your title. When I saw it in my list of bog posts in my email, I came to it faster than to most of the others.
