Steven Spielberg - Eat Your Heart Out! (OK, not quite.)
I've made a movie!
OK so that's a bit of an exaggeration but I have finally gotten round to creating a video after studying the training here at Wealthy Affiliate. I watched Jay's webinars from back in April and decided to have a go at creating a video using some of the fairly basic tools I have at my disposal.
I decided to simply re-purpose one of my recent blog posts on this occasion - just to get the hang of it. I have dabbled with video creation a little bit in the past but my efforts were a bit amateurish to say the least.
It's probably fair to say that this one won't win any prizes either but I'm actually fairly happy with the end result. It's something I will try to improve in the coming weeks and months because I really think that video content is definitely the way to go.
For the main part of the video I decided to go with a screen cast so I created some PowerPoint slides to illustrate what I was talking about and then recorded a video with screencast-o-matic and my snowball mic.
I decided to make a brief personal appearance so I recorded a short intro section using my iPad. Add in a logo sting clip which I had created on Fiverr and then I edited the thing using Wondershare Filmora.
Finally I created a custom thumbnail image on Canva and then uploaded it to YouTube and embedded it in my blog post.
If you want to check out my video you can look at it on YouTube here:

I'd be grateful for any feedback on the video and advice for improving future videos.
I know I have a rather heavy Northern Irish accent so I tried to speak as clearly as possible, so hopefully people will be able to understand me!
Thanks for reading my post and have a great day!

Hi Dave, I will start by congratulating you. This is not a bad starting at all.
You mentioned something about your northern irish accent, I do not think it's as bad as you make it to appear in the post. Maybe because, I am "irish". You wait for my deep african accent when I have enough confidence to do a video.
It's great that you have the free book to offer at the end of the video.
I hope things work well for you. Kudos man. Segun
