How To Reach The Top Of The Tree In Any Field (Kinda.)
This is a story I heard a while ago which resonated with me, and I was reminded of it this week. I just thought I would share it with you as it contains an important lesson.

One day an old pheasant was standing in a field talking to a bull. The pheasant pointed to a big tree in the corner of the field and remarked "I used to be able to climb that tree but now I am too old to even get onto the first branch".
The bull replied "I can help you with that! All you need to do is eat some of my dung each day and eventually you will be able to climb all the way to the top of the tree"
The pheasant was very doubtful about this but the bull explained that because he lived in a field all day and ate lush grass, his dung was full of nutrients that would make the pheasant strong.
The pheasant decided to try it and every day he ate some of the dung. After a few days he managed to climb a few branches so he kept on eating more each day. After a few weeks he finally did it and climbed all the way to the top of the tree!
Unfortunately that day the farmer came walking across the field and saw the pheasant at the top of the tree. He picked up his shotgun, took aim, and blasted the pheasant straight out of the tree.
The moral of the story: Bullsh#t might get you to the top of the tree but it won't keep you there because there's always someone looking to shoot you down.

So how do you make it to the top of the tree and stay there?
The best way is to find a proven system that others have shown to be successful, learn how to work that system, and then put it into practice! This will get you to the top of the tree by learning how to climb each branch and also teach you the pitfalls to be aware of so that you don't get shot down again.

What a great story!
It is true the important thing is to be determined and not to give up anything. It is not the easiest method, but the one that brings the most success. As you say very well, let's follow the right method and make it work for us too. There is no point in reinventing the wheel or just taking what suits us so as not to work too hard. Success does not come by sleeping.
