Have You Got A Resources Page On Your Site?
A few days ago I was talking about landing pages in a training video and happened to mention Resources pages in the introduction.
Quite a few people commented on it so I just wanted to highlight how useful it can be to have one on your site - especially because of the extra income it can generate for you.
What is a Resources Page?
A resources page is a standalone page on your site where you can tell your customers all about the various resources you use regularly on your site or within your business.
For each resource you discuss you can add your affiliate link to the product and if a customer decides to purchase the product through your recommendation then obviously you will earn an affiliate commission.
Personally I think its very important to only recommend resources that you have personal knowledge of and positive experiences with. This is an opportunity to help your customers out by recommending products that will be valuable and helpful to them, while also building your own business.
It's not an opportunity to promote garbage that will earn you a commission but not help your customer and consequently ruin your reputation.

If you want to see a top class example of a Resources Page then search for Pat Flynn's Smart Passive Income website. There's a link to his resources page in the top bar.
Pat often talks about the amazing contribution his resources page makes to his business income and in particular the income he makes from his affiliate link to BlueHost is stuff we can only dream of.
(I'd drop the link in here but I'm not sure if that's allowed)
Anyway, I definitely suggest that you seriously consider adding a Resources Page to your site if you don't already have one.

Hi Debs. Yes its not a high priority thing but just something to get set up for the longer term. Hope you get all those things sorted with your site!
I know but has come in handy for me.
Luckily I have push notifications turned on via my PC so it keeps me informed as I work on my site.

Totally agree too - I've picked up so many helpful tips and advice from fellow WA members.
All my resource pages got messed around chopping and changing categories lol.
I don't know how I rank on Google Yahoo and Bing page 1. I must be doing something right lol. Saying that though, Dave, console has just blasted me with 3 errors so I am off to sort that out first. BTW
