Definitely check out Marion's training below. I remember having questions on adding custom tabs & found her video to be very easy to follow. I still use the same process all the time.
Also, as others have mentioned, each theme has it's own flow. So you may have to play with the functionality a bit before you get how your particular menu works. Cool thing is unless you 'publish' the changes, nothing really changes so you can experiment a little to figure it out.
But, definitely watch Marion's video.

Thanks for the suggestion. Appreciate it.

Will be checking out Marion's video, as well.

I was told that certain themes can make the menu tabs wonky.

Thanks again. :-)

I solved my WP theme problem by buying my own theme that has option panel makes it easier for me to use and easier on my eyes. Marion’s training on WP is awesome, save her trainings, worth it.

Thanks for the suggestion. Appreciate it. Definitely saved Marion's training and will check it out very soon. :-)

Hey Daryl :) That lesson in Phase 1, Lesson 4 actually isn't outdated at all, but it doesn't have anything to do with creating menus. You may just be a little ahead of yourself as the lesson on creating menus in the WA Bootcamp comes later in Phase 1, Lesson 7 :)

Hey Eric,

You're right, it's Phase 1, Lesson 7 in WA Bootcamp (my bad). :-)

No prob. And yeah that walkthrough is still correct. You can arrange your menus from the Appearance>Menus area of your WP dash just like the video shows. It may also be easier for you to do it via your theme customizer. Appearance>Customize.

Good to know and thanks again! You the man and y'all the best (and don'cha ever forget that)!

:-) :-) :-)

That's what community is all about :) Keep up the great work!

I think it's more likely to be a matter of theme than a matter of two years ago.

That could very well be (more a matter of theme than menus itself). Thanks for your input. :-)

Maybe this video can help you
https://energyigniter.com/menu

PS: You can also add posts and categories to your menu

Heya Daryl,

Yes .. What Marion said ...

Also, keep in mind, that Some different Themes deal with such things differently (I ran into issues moving from theme to theme.
... Probably why 'they' say to get the Theme you like, configured how you like it, "Before" your site gets too complex.

Just my 2cents worth

Regards

Joe

Hey Joe,

Got it. Makes sense that different themes could have something to do with how menus are created, arranged, and linked. I'll keep tinkering around and tweaking with it. Thanks again. :-)

Thank you. :-)

Hi Marion, came across your video on links by chance i guess, just what i was looking for. But when i got to categories there were none there, it said "categorized", Can you please advise what needs to be done here?
Cheers
Bobby

Sorry it said "Uncategorized"

You'll want to create your own categories, Bobby, then assign each of your posts to the appropriate category.

I think I'm on the way Marion, thanks for the assistance, your vids are the best I've seen on WA so far.

Wondering if WA's Online Entrepreneur Certificate is in digital or paper format? How does this work? What actually happens when a member completes WA's Online Entrepreneur Cert

Keep up the good work!

Thank you! :-)

Its a digital confirmation that you have completed the course.
Once you do a badge is awarded which you will see as part of your profile.
You are awarded different badges as you progress through the training.

Thank you for the reply. Appreciate it. So far, I've accrued 4 badges (having completed 4 levels) and am currently on Level 5. :-)

Onwards And Upwards Daryl

The OEC is a digital training platform. There are 10 lessons that will teach you how to set up a website, include affiliate links and gain traffic organically.
The only thing that actually happens when you complete the OEC is you get a badge on your profile - I see that you have a badge for level 4 already. Once the lessons are completed you are well on your way to being an expert affiliate marketer.

Hope that helps!

Best of luck on your journey to success!

Awesome! Many thanks for replying and explaining. Appreciate it. I'm doing very well and very excited about it. Thoroughly enjoying the journey, also. Thanks again! All the best to you and everyone else at WA, too! :-)

So glad to hear that you are enjoying the journey! :-)

I'm lovin' every second of it! :-)
