httpsdocs/img/ or httpsdocs/any-folder/ is the correct place, as that will then make your URL domain.com/img or domain.com/any-folder, which isn't long at all :-)

I wanted to add the plugin IQ Block Country to my Wordpress site. However this also requires the GEO IP2 Database to be uploaded to /var/www/volumes/xvdf1/vhosts/xxxxx.com/http
Wonderful- thanks so much for the help. Managed to access through ftp exactly as Dale suggested. IQ Block Country activated and running nicely :-)
if the plugin requires an outgoing connection you may need to ask support to allow it.
this is one of the reasons that this is one of the most secure hostings- but also one of the most frustrating.
or if you need to add files to your site then why not look into a file manager plugin for ease.
good luck

If what Dale suggests below does not work I would suggest you to contact support here at WA - they might very well be able to help you if you are hosted here.
Yep you just need to place the mmdb file into your WordPress uploads directory located at wp-content/uploads - and yes, you can use FTP to do that. I'm surprised the plugin doesn't do that automatically upon installation though.

Does anyone here have any experience with promoting any of the opportunities on www.commissioncrowd.com ? There are a lot of high-end items there which to me seem to cry out fo
I guess this is one step away from the traditional affiliate business. The commission only opportunities on Commission Crowd seem to be mainly for the provision of services - for which of course the establishment of a dedicated website could be very advantageous. I will try to shortlist some opportunities and see if I can get something going
I do not have experiences with this particular site. But regarding having dedicated affiliate sites do you mean having a whole website for a particular product/service?
If that is the best solution or not really depends on the niche and the product/service. High ticket items takes a bit more to convert but it definitely is also possible to have several high ticket items on one site together with some cheaper options.
Sometimes that can even be an advatange. But it really depends on the exact niche, the setup, etc. If you tell a bit more I will be happy to give my opinion on it.
