Hi Darcy

I can see that you have some really good answers here.

As mentioned avoid giving medical advice and you should do really well.

You could also make it solution focused which I am sure you would.

This is a hot topic and much needed and coming from a personal view point is valuable.

This will be a really good niche for your website.

I wishing you all the best

Jennifer

Thank you so much for your support Jenifer. And your points of view.

You are most welcome

I hope they helped

All the best
Jennifer

They sure did! You all did :)
Thank you so much again.

Brilliant

You are on your way to success in every way.

All the best Darcy

Jennifer

Same to you Jenifer.
Much love always,
Darcy

Back at ya

Stay strong you got this.

Jennifer

Oh, I just want to hug you! (If I could) I really appreciate your kind words and positive demeanor. It helps a lot and I imagine will help all the more in the days to come.

You can definitely talk about personal stuff on your blog or inside a category. Just be careful giving medical advice, as you would need to be a professional for those.

It's a good idea to have a medical disclaimer on your site if you choose to post about health regularly. Medical disclaimers contain a disclaimer saying that you are not a doctor or health care professional and are not advising anyone to do anything and that people always should consult a professional when they are looking for advise.

That way they cannot start claiming things on you. Personal experiences one can finely blog about, just think well what you want to have published and live and available to anyone on the internet about yourself. Think also about name /fullname vs nickname etc.

Steven

All wonderful points. Thank you!

Yes i believe it is, I have a section dedicated to mental well being one of my websites.

I have had my own experiences and I’d rather take advice from someone who has been there as they will understand my position.

I want to help as many people as possible as the way I coped and recovered could very well help someone else.

Go for it!!

Wow... thank you! I never thought of it that way

Your welcome Darcy

Yes, it's a viable niche ... if you can provide helpful, valuable information, formatted in a professional manner.

You'll also want to consider how you'll monetize your blog as your traffic grows. Are there affiliate products you'd like to feature? Will you attract businesses to advertise on your website?

-Laurie

Thank you Laurie. That makes me feel a bit better. I have quite a few ideas on how I can monetize my site- I just wanted to make sure it was ok TO monetize it- if that makes sense.

Yes, it makes sense. It's always good to think a few steps ahead.
