1st domain is same name as 1st site...want to go with a new niche thats not related to 1st

Hey Danny! Looks like everyone is in agreement! :)

Looks like your covered

New niche, new site.

If it's a complete different unrelated niche then yes a new domain would be needed.

I think you get two free ones here

Yes. Get a new domain name. Otherwise, it's the same site. Not a new one.

Thanks

If you are creating a new niche website, you will need a new domain as well. :)

Thanks so much!

Should I use a siterubix or just purchase another from namecheap?

It is your choice. I didn't use a siterubix for my second site, I chose to get my domain and move forward that way. Up to you. :)

Authoring & Writing Content
Updated

I am on Course 2, lesson 5 but dont know how to add the content. Do I need an affiliate program? Not much of a writer so I'm not writing a blog or a post just yet. Like I said I

I think there is some confusion here :) Your website will not have a 'storefront' with products listed like Amazon or other ecommerce sites.

Your website is going to be content based, so the majority of what's on there is going to be writing. Blog posts are going to be your main job and what takes the most time for your business.

People will not come to your website to 'shop'. They will come to your website for information. When they read that information, if there's a product linked within it, THAT's how you make a sale.

For example, if someone wants jogging shoes for kids, if they type "jogging shoes for kids", it's not likely your site will turn up...at least not in the beginning. However, if they type "Is Jogging Healthy For Kids?" and you have a blog post on your site with a similar topic, they will find your post.

If in the post you have a link that says, "Brand X has the most stylish shoes" or "Company X has a great selections of shoes for kids" or "These are the jogging shoes that my kids wear" or something similar....that's how you're going to make a sale.

Of course, everyone's business plan is different, but this is what the main training in WA is teaching you how to do.

There a many strategies on how to get traffic to your site, lined out in the training. One is here: https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/hot-to-get-keywords-ranked-with-low-hanging-fruit

But you still need to write. And it needs to be original content! Don't believe anyone that says you can copy stuff from other sites or buy content packages. You can pay someone to write it for you, but for good writing it will cost $10-$50 per article.

Considering you should write a few posts per week, that adds up to a lot. If you're on a budget, you'll need to do the writing yourself.

Thanks Nathaniell. I get it now and I think I should change my storefront theme. Will ask for more advice soon!:)

CarlaIves has a shoe storefront site and may be able to help you! :)

Thanks Christabelle! I feel stuck right now!

We all have those moments! But you will get past this moment ! :)

I have that moment right now....trying to decide which niche to promote!

Follow the advice that I got from Nathaniell. I was confused initially and thought I could just put sneakers on my site and sell them...but that's not the case. However it's definitely possible down the road but I have to build this "content" before any of that! So much harder than I thought but I'm not giving up on myself or WA!

Hi Danny, That tutorial suggestion was to pvarga, sorry, I should have said that! I think Nathaniel is awesome! And he knows his stuff and he is successful. So you should definitely follow his advice. I hope one day I can offer such excellent advice!
