I purchased my domain name about 10 hours ago. when I try to log into filezilla, I get an error message (cannot find server) I have the username and password from Wa.. When they

Deleting the site just because of login issues is a bit drastic, ftp is something that has too be learned like everything else. If you get these problems again take a deep breath then first check you can actually log into wordpress the normal way, if yes then go back to wa hosting and double check the ftp passwords provided are the ones you are putting into filezilla.

As for the changing passwords, the only reason I want to change them is because I will be making more websites in the future, and those user ID's and passwords are impossible to remember.

This can be done quickly with filezilla but be very careful when messing around with ftp as it can break your site if you do the wrong thing. Please get a backup in place before attempting to move files this way

Log on to your website via ftp and the route to your pictures is by clicking on folders httpdocs then wp-content then uploads. Pictures will be separated into folders numbered by year and month when you added them to your site.

To select more than one image hold down control on keyboard and click everyone you want to download which will put a blue box around them. Then click right mouse button while mouse pointer is over selected files and select download. Depending on the settings in filezilla they will then be downloaded to your desktop or download folder on your pc.

Once again be very careful and make sure you are clicking the right commands

Filezilla will save login/passwords/domains for all your sites, next time you want access your site via ftp just use the quick connect button and select website.

I have one other question if you can help me. How do I change the ftp user ID and password. Do I change it here at WA or filezilla?

Filezilla is only a tool that gives you access to your website via ftp, any change is login/password will have to be done be the server team. To be honest I would leave them as they are, the system is secure enough not to have to worry about that unless your passwords are copied from your computer by a key logger or other hacker tool.

Hi, your home page doesn't appear under pages - it appears under Appearance and then your theme name settings. It's very common for people to be confused about the homepage issue, so don't feel bad.

The home page is often called the presentation page by Themes, so go to Appearance and you should see your Theme name possibly followed by Settings - for eg YourTheme Settings. Click on that and you will be taken to an options page for your theme. Each theme has different levels of customisation, but you should be able to edit the content of your home page here.

Hi Dankim - if you point your DNS to WA, you'll see your domain in your control panel (Build My Website) - you can then install any wordpress theme directly onto it, in the same way you do with the free sites you have here.

With the comments from some of the more senior players below who am I after one month to make comments on such an emotive issues? well I am someone who has had the complete opposite experience. I have not gone through a fraction of the stuff you have my friend, but when I do find a point duplicated I appreciate the reminder and pass over it with satisfaction if I have already learned this part.
My experience with the video's has also been positive with no problems, could this be your browser? I use Chrome and it works great.
The rest of your questions have been answered very well below by others.

Thanks everyone for your comments! Personally I don't think Kyle or Carson are the ones who are answering their personal messages in the discussion room. It's not that I don't trust those guys, I really do. But it's because I believe they are both millionairs and they can't possibly sit behind the desk and answer several hundred thousand questions a day. I would totally understand if they have other trained people answering their messages. To run a business like the wealthy affiliate takes a tremendous amount of work and dedication.

I just wanted to say that I felt a little of what you feel when I first joined WA I received some messages from Kyle/Carson when I was brand new, and a couple of them were automatic messages. But I also had some that were personal. It did take me a little while to trust them/WA, especially when I saw the offer to join WA as a paid member. Right off, I thought "These guys just want to make money like every other program." Of course they do, but this is the difference:

Kyle and Carson truly care about your success. You don't have to pay if you are not ready to.

Yes, Kyle/Carson make money too, but they have kept their ethics, morals and give their time to help others, even though they are "millionaires." I don't know where they find the time! I see them in the discussion areas personally replying to others-especially when someone makes their first $1.00, or has another success. They are one of the first to congratulate members.

I am sure they will personally talk to you asap.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say that you don't think Kyle or Carson are the ones answering their personal messages in the discussion room. I've seen enough of what Kyle's and Carson's responses are in discussions, and what they have responded to me personally, to be pretty sure they are in the discussion groups helping out and answering questions. As you (and others) have said, they are busy. So when they take a bit of time to answer, perhaps you can ask someone else, like one of the Ambassadors, who have attained that rank for being helpful.

Hi, iif you´re not able to watch the videos, have you clicked on the tab saying: If the video´s not playing, click here? There are some solutions offerd. Me personally, i´m thinking that there is a glitch between the new flash player and the newest videos, when i´m looking at the comments there.....:-)..so, that will be fixed, just needs some time.
When you comuter has issues, then reach out for help in your local area, there will be someone, who is not only able, but also willing to help you.
When Kyle doesn´t answer, maybe he is busy or ill, he´s human, isn´t he? So reach out for Carson or some other of the first amassadors, you can look them up and mail them a personal message.
Last, but not least....on every topic in life, the law of attraction is working, that means, when you expect negative things to happen, they will.....maybe you can just be a little bit patient, a little bit more friendly, so the world has a chance to answer in a friendly and helpful way?

Hi.

Every person here - other than K&C and one other I believe - is a paying member, just like you - and everyone is trying their best to setup and run their businesses. So having any time to try and help in chat or in posts, are those people giving up their time to help.

So the community is the place to ask - but if you don't get an answer straight away, or don't like the answers you do get at the time... please just explain further. In my experience, I've had nothing but constructive advice and guidance.

The chat room is one of THE most helpful places here. Yes it is for social engagement and for building relationships with like minded people. People are engaged in conversations with each other - and may not notice your chat post - it can change quickly on that screen when lots of people are on.

To try and help answer some of your questions, or at least troubleshoot:

1) people will look for specific training in lots of different places - the fact you can find it in one area, doesn't mean I would search that same area for it - so I think this is a good thing. Also, many people contribute training here - some of that training is the same as others have contributed. Some people may just have a different way of putting the training across.

2) have you tried another browser (Chrome, IE, Firefox, Safari etc) - it could just be some setting on your browser that is stopping the videos from playing. I personally use Chrome, and have had no issues viewing them. If trying another browser doesn't work - can you try from another computer? That will help narrow down where the problem may be.

3) Kyle not answering you... I run a separate service outside WA - I am a one man band in that respect, and I can't always answer queries from people as quickly as they would like me to. I may be away for the weekend, I may be at my 9-5 - I may be trying to help others with what I prioritise as far more urgent. Looking at the rankings of some people here - there could be upwards of 150,000 people using WA (it could be far more, or less - I'm not sure) - but given this is Carson and Kyle's business - how many of those 150,000 people do you think PM them directly every day? I guarantee you will get a response to the question you say only Kyle can answer. He (and every other person who is doing the same as you here - ie. trying to succeed) wants you to succeed too. Give him time.

4) discussion and chat (and training) are your best bet for business related questions (ie. marketing, wordpress, finding a niche etc etc. As I said above - everyone here is trying to do, or has already done what you are trying to do. The experience of the people here is mind numbing. If you have a technical issue (hosting, domains etc), then use the support team that you've already referred to.

5) noted above - social/relationship building/asking for help/general chit chat

Sorry to hear that, really sucks you've had a bad run here. My experience has been the exact opposite. Three times I've had to email Kyle and he responded within 24 hours each time. And I've used Live Chat maybe 10 times and only twice people couldn't help or answer my questions. Sorry you've had a bad go - hopefully you can give it a little more time and see if things change.

hmmmm, sorry to hear that. I'm very happy with the support here. Kyle also hasn't answered my e-mail yet but I'm very pleased with the chat function. So far the whole WA team has responded to my written questions, blogs and especially the chat room a lot. I'm a bit new here, I hope I will not feel the same way you do. Whatever you decide to do. Thanks everyone for your quick response! I did post a lot of my questions in the discussion. Either they didn't know the answer, or they gave me information that wasn't very helpful. I'll go into more details of all the concerns that I have.
1)Like I said, a lot of tutorials are from other lessons. for example:
If I went to classroom - affiliate program - SEO, the same lessons would be on affiliate bootcamp - phase 3 - lesson 4. And it would also show up in live video classes. You see where I'm getting at?

2) When I click to watch a video tutorial, I get a white blank screen
(this is where the video should be) instead there is nothing

3) My third question is for Kyle only so Ican't discuss that here.

4) I guess the discussion room is the support team

5) What is the purpose of the chat room? Is it for social engagement only?

What browser are you using? Re Kyle, he usually responds in a day or less. In terms of the lessons, how are you finding them? Are you looking in the search bar at the top of the screen? If so, you are probably finding them in different places because they've been tagged with different keywords or keyword phrases. They may not be duplicates. I've found the same videos under different tags.

I'm sorry you've not had a good experience so far. There are a lot of us here who try to help and many of us look out for questions that are unanswered so we can try to answer them.

Hi Dankim 30: For the chat room you have to be quick and precise. I've mostly had an answer right away. If not, look for the answer in previous lessons. To get an 'Ambassador' click on your 'rank' designation on the top right of your page. Their help is phenomenal.. They go out of their way to share their knowledge. I try to solve problems myself but if I can't figure it out, I get help from the Ambassadors! Kyle and Carson have only 24 hours, too. Try chat again after a few minutes if you get rolled over! Good luck!

Try posting your question here. Tell us what it is you need help with and post it in the discussion area that you think suits it best and we'll try and help you. Be as specific as you can and if it helps, use the snipping tool on your computer to capture an image from your screen and then upload it into your discussion post.

For the videos, Chrome can be a pain for videos loading possibly due to having two plugins activated at the same time that may be clashing.

If the videos don't work in Chrome then try Firefox. Do you have a touch screen computer? Then try touching the play button on the video.

I don't know what tutorials are duplicates, so I'm not sure what you mean. I'm sure many people PM Kyle and Carson both and their inbox's are crammed. So start here when you need help outside of hosting problems.

WA has a large community and yes we do try and help each other when we can. The system is not perfect, but we the members do our best. By the way, have you used the search bar at the top of the page to see if any questions you have may already have been answered? Often you can find the help you need by using it.

Maybe you should try putting a little more positive thinking in your life. A lot of us have jobs that we would like to quit, hence joining WA. My experience has been that members are absolutely and wonderfully helpful. You've only been here a couple of weeks. Have a little patience, and things will look up for you

hmmmm, sorry to hear that. I'm very happy with the support here. Kyle also hasn't answered my e-mail yet but I'm very pleased with the chat function. So far the whole WA team has responded to my written questions, blogs and especially the chat room a lot. I'm a bit new here, I hope I will not feel the same way you do. Whatever you decide to do. Thanks everyone for your quick response! I did post a lot of my questions in the discussion. Either they didn't know the answer, or they gave me information that wasn't very helpful. I'll go into more details of all the concerns that I have.
1)Like I said, a lot of tutorials are from other lessons. for example:
If I went to classroom - affiliate program - SEO, the same lessons would be on affiliate bootcamp - phase 3 - lesson 4. And it would also show up in live video classes. You see where I'm getting at?

2) When I click to watch a video tutorial, I get a white blank screen
(this is where the video should be) instead there is nothing

3) My third question is for Kyle only so Ican't discuss that here.

4) I guess the discussion room is the support team

5) What is the purpose of the chat room? Is it for social engagement only?

What browser are you using? Re Kyle, he usually responds in a day or less. In terms of the lessons, how are you finding them? Are you looking in the search bar at the top of the screen? If so, you are probably finding them in different places because they've been tagged with different keywords or keyword phrases. They may not be duplicates. I've found the same videos under different tags.

I'm sorry you've not had a good experience so far. There are a lot of us here who try to help and many of us look out for questions that are unanswered so we can try to answer them.

Hi Dankim 30: For the chat room you have to be quick and precise. I've mostly had an answer right away. If not, look for the answer in previous lessons. To get an 'Ambassador' click on your 'rank' designation on the top right of your page. Their help is phenomenal.. They go out of their way to share their knowledge. I try to solve problems myself but if I can't figure it out, I get help from the Ambassadors! Kyle and Carson have only 24 hours, too. Try chat again after a few minutes if you get rolled over! Good luck!

Try posting your question here. Tell us what it is you need help with and post it in the discussion area that you think suits it best and we'll try and help you. Be as specific as you can and if it helps, use the snipping tool on your computer to capture an image from your screen and then upload it into your discussion post.

For the videos, Chrome can be a pain for videos loading possibly due to having two plugins activated at the same time that may be clashing.

If the videos don't work in Chrome then try Firefox. Do you have a touch screen computer? Then try touching the play button on the video.

I don't know what tutorials are duplicates, so I'm not sure what you mean. I'm sure many people PM Kyle and Carson both and their inbox's are crammed. So start here when you need help outside of hosting problems.

WA has a large community and yes we do try and help each other when we can. The system is not perfect, but we the members do our best. By the way, have you used the search bar at the top of the page to see if any questions you have may already have been answered? Often you can find the help you need by using it.

Maybe you should try putting a little more positive thinking in your life. A lot of us have jobs that we would like to quit, hence joining WA. My experience has been that members are absolutely and wonderfully helpful. You've only been here a couple of weeks. Have a little patience, and things will look up for you

I appreciate your response, but you are not helpful. You haven't answered any of my concerns? I have been very patient, but if you are stuck with something how can you continue? How long do you want me to wait until Kyle gets back to me? There should be technical support that should get back to you within 24 hours.

when using WA's keyword research tool, under completion - view - results, why can't you expand the tiny box? When you click on the website, the view box don't expand. The option

I think they made it that way because what you're looking for is how many pages there are in total. For example, it should say x out of xxx results.

To show you accurate results, the WA Keyword tool goes to the last page. Since it's the laste page there is nothing worth looking at or noting. If hou wanted to look at the first few pages of results it's easier to just open a new window and do the search yourself.
