Set New Goal, High, but Doable

A Week of Spinning in the Mud

My stats are terrible, as can be seen in the image. I began to work on content soon after replacing the hard drive in this computer, but still dealing with other computer issues (not the base computer but backup drives, etc.)

A very recent trip during which I had hopes of making some serous progress was hampered by the environment in which I found myself - simply no room for the work I had intended to use, distractions, alcoholism and its usual stupidity going on around me, this trip was not like last year's.

I discovered that I actually wrote an article during that trip using the same keywords and nearly the same title of an article I wrote in March, though the content is completely different, it was essentially a waste of time, having forgotten that I had already written an article on the topic.

A New Goal:

The Content Goals program would not allow me to set a new goal up to August 29, so I had to set it to September 29. I don't know why this is so being it was yesterday (July 29) when I tried to set the goal.

It is for 40,000 words (which I will easily hit) but for 40 articles. I know the relationship between these numbers is way off, but it's the article count I'm after, not so much the words, as I can rarely write an article any less than about 1500 - 1600 words, which is what the wordcount usually winds up to be, if not more. Just can't do it. This is why word count isn't a problem.

The article count however, is a problem. This is where the challenge is for me - finding things to write about, even from the many keywords I have already come up with. I have to find more keywords.

Deficiencies, Accomplishments, Not Giving Up

I'm way behind but I'm not giving up. There are some items on those lists I'm not going to be able to check off this late in the game, but still going to work the concepts in and do everything I can in the instructions.

As for going onto the chat engine, I'm afraid this is going to be a flop. I have never done very well on there. I have gotten into more trouble than not trying to use it. The last time I used it regularly was in 2012 and 2013. Only in the Live Training have I used that discussion chat engine on occasion. Usually I sit there silently and listen to Jay, taking in the instructions he gives. Nobody knows I'm there.

The same person who told me to stop writing on these blogs has encouraged me to do so, using it as a means to help with accountability and posting my progress. I have not fully done this, but more recently. I will do this. Blogging as I used to on here doesn't happen anymore.

I have deleted about 400 blogs from my account here last year. More should have been but did not make it to deletion. What's left is going to stay for now. Only those that directly involve business, my progress stay. Last year I also removed many people I was following because it was jamming up my email inbox, plus many folks were putting out content on their blogs that I found useless. Today, just about every notificaation I get leads to blogs I can actually use and learn from.

Still Determined

Bad as my performance has been, I am determined to do better, to get this work done, improve my income from WA, and show for my reasons to be on here.

My goal remains to finish out the Challenge on time and with all the work completed by its end.

I am basically doubling my efforts at this point, now that I am home, and even though the goal is set for the end of September, am pushing for the end of August, using the rest of this period in the Goal-Setter program to go above and beyond.

Hi Daniel
As long as there is progress, however little it may be, it is still progress! ;-) And remember, progressing from "failure" to "failure", is progress too, if we learn from it! ;-)
You're a star - no need to try to disguise it, we snuffed that out already! ;-) LOL!

Sorry, I missed this. Got a long way to go. I lost some of my regular income and it is far more important now to ramp up my business.

Well, you've the goal, as well as the reason... sounds like a recipe for success to me! ;-)
Wishing you all of the very best and much success!

Time to gain that writing traction Daniel!

You got that right! The tread must last from here to the moon because that's how far I have to go. I am writing the second article now.

You have a great attitude for success. I think Re-evaluating and setting new goals is all part of the process.
Debbie

Since I wrote this blog, I just wrote the first article as the first part of a Series I am doing on Wealthy Affiliate, has now been published. Doing this series will give me a boost. It does not yet have any images, nor anything else done to it, but it will after I go after a second article today. Since I'm only on the second installment of the WA Super Affiliate Challenge, I will stay there until I have completed the 12th article and then move on to the next installment.

This article will feature Kyle and Carson whereas the one I just wrote gives a basic overview about Wealthy Affiliate, which is the pilot of this Series.

This gives me a very easy means to get my campaign back into shape.

I have a lot of articles sitting out there in space which need to be interconnected and given the social media and SEO that they need.

I am on my way with this goal!

That sounds like a plan. Keep up your enthusiasm.

So far so good - put out two articles today. Am now working on images, etc for them. I will go through Lesson 2 of the Challenge as well, over the next few days. I am hoping to put out at least two more articles tomorrow!

With that determination, you will do ti better this round.

:)
Joe

I have already started, now that all that rubbish is behind me and I have the time on my hands to actually make some progress.

I will be going on to Article 2 and then call that a day as I go back and put the required stuff into them besides the texts.

One of the members on here, has always gotten behind me and pushed, Jay Gumbs, recently ran a series of blogs on here showing the progress on what he did over the time, to two of his websites and campaigns.

This has been stimulating to me and I have been wanting to do the same with my one campaign. When this one gets going again, I will begin to work on one of two other websites I started.

Continue one step at a time. Just like walking up a mountain. one step at a time is how you reach the top. I hope all of your steps are smooth.
Jerry

Just pulling up two unfinished articles, when finished, will net me 2400 words at this point. My day is already going well.

Thanks!

AWESOME
Jerry
