The answer to your question is nobody will know when. It is all up to Google when they will index you site.
I have been taking several posts each day and re - submitting them to webmaster tools.
Seems many impressions are still on my old domain. Thanks for your response!

Internal linking is important of website SEO, and I have been spending a lot of time linking together my webpages.
As much as I try to avoid WordPress plugins, I found one
Getting to this discussion a bit late, but it was a helpful read for me. Thanks all! Will avoid the plug in route too.
That clears that up. Unless this debate can be turned around, old school manual linking is the best way to go.
Another point goes to "No Plugin"
Almost every post I publish has internal links but I'm always a bit leery of anything "automatic".
I hear you there.. I've been burned in the past. Why I asked? Not sure.
If anybody else is curious and searches Wealthy Affiliate for this they will get a clear message. Thanks!
I also link manually. It's easy to do when you write a post, because when you go to the post add a link, you can do it right there, very easily... give that a shot and see what you think. It's all good because you can link to exactly what you want to link to.
I am also in that habit.. My older content is limiting and for this the question came up.
Thanks for commenting, could save me from plugin sickness!

I use screen grabber for any one using apple computer. It is a free app, &I like it because you just mouse over what you want to save, click save and save it to the file you want.
Thanks, I don't use Apple myself, so this will be very helpful. Added it so people don't miss it. Cheers!
I love Windows 8 Snipping Tool. Super handy, quick and easy to use. I find it much better than print screen (even though it does come in handy from time to time as well). :)
Awesome. So the free windows snipping tool it is!
Glad I asked this. Thanks and hope others benefit also.
Funny, completely forgot about that, It gives you immediate control on what you want a screen shot of.
Thanks for that reminder Steve!

Should I delete content on my old Siterubix site after it's transferred to my own Domain?
Personally I feel that you would lose out on redirects from your other website if
So, when should I delete my siterubix site? It is still there, it just redirects. It has been there for nearly a month now. I read that you should wait at least a month before deleting.
I personally just deleted it, because my site is fairly new and any redirects won't really do much. But it depends on you, I guess I just didn't want to stress on something like that. It distracts from other important things to do
As others have said, your siterubix site will no longer be there after the transfer. However, redirects are automatic to your new domain that replaces it. Best regards.
Here's one of Kyle's videos on just that. He goes over the redirects, etc.

When you move your site to your new domain it will no longer be there, if it is, something is not right....don't do anything...the transfer did not happen.
You're right, the content is no longer on that domain,, it simply sits there redirecting. All seems clear now.
When I moved mine to my own domain, the siterubix site was no longer there. Did you move it within WA?
It still shows, but everything is redirected as everyone mentioned.
My old siterubix website still appears under domains, but no content is available under that domain.
I guess it is left their with a page of redirects. Makes sense to me!

This is really good information to consider. I usually aim to pick themes that fit my niche and are responsive, but the biggest aspect to me is how customizable they are. I should add SEO ready to my list when searching.
Thanks for the post!
I just came across this, what did you do in the end?
A few things I look at before design (although important) is SEO, HTML5, CSS3, Responsive and Fluidity. If a theme doesn't have those, I ditch it and free themes never win anyone any favors.
sorry for the late response. I should update this one for sure.
You are right, and another point to add is to look for how frequent updates are put out for that theme, and what the updates consist of.
A frequently updated theme is a well maintained theme in my books.
Ach, you've all upset me with this discussion! I've hoped that by going with a well worn Wordpress theme (one of the standard ones that they seem to update every year, Two Thousand and Thirteen, in my case) that this will tick all the boxes. I'm afraid I will need to do a little more research then.
Is there no end to the learning I must do?!
I think I know the answer to that...
Jon
Wouldn't want to be upsetting, and I'm sure this one is still fine.
From what I see of the standard ones, the ratings stay high. Being WordPress, I am sure they cover the basics of SEO and keep their themes up-to-date.
Many people still use the Twenty Thirteen theme, so I would say your okay.
Any other opinions on this? I am not an expert on this..
I'm waiting to see the responses you get, Damien. I honestly never thought about the themes being more than personal choice.
I noticed that some themes are poorly designed for ranking high on Google. Rules keep changing and because of this, the theme makers need to keep updating to fit these rules. Just like Shawn said.
Thanks for following along!
My 2 cents worth here, make sure that any themes you choose to use are getting updated regularly. There are many that have been created and then just left to blow in the breeze with no support or updates.
A good point to make..
Without a theme being updated. it could leave it with poor outdated coding, or errors.
Thanks for bringing this up.. Simple but sweet!
