What Can You Get Out Of The WA Community?
Website Adjustments
On any one day you can look at your website and yes its just how you want it but a few months later you may just chang your mind.
Why?
Why would you change your mind?
I think one of the reasons is that as Weathly Affiliate evolves, we as members evolve as well. WA is continually educating us but we are also educating each other as we progress.
I for one have not only learnt so much from WA but also I have learnt a lot of new things from my fellow members.
The more we learn here the more we increase our awareness and experience in our industry.
Every Adjustment Counts
Tonight I have spent an hour or so re-arranging the appearance of my website. I have not changed the theme but I have amde it look more proffesional and less cluttered.
In November I was very pleased with it's apprearance but after a few chats with my mentor who is still coaching me almost two years later when I need his help gave me some new insites on how I can improve it.
Shop Window
Your Website is the shop window to your online presence just as a shop window on a city street or town centre is to the shop owners.
If you pass a scruffy shop window or one that is cluttered then chances are you will walk passed it and not enter the shop as it doesn't attract your attention.
It's the same on the web in my opinion. How many of you have clickewd on a website and it's cluttered with ads and no structure? It just seems disorganised. I have loads of times and I don't stay on them.
Visual appearance is just as important online as is it is to those shops, even more so as we can't go out the shop door to talk to would be customers to entice them in!
Sit And Look
Every month I sit and look at my home page and just spend a few moments looking at it but tonight I looked and it clicked!
I think I have had a shift in growth and experience in the last 4 weeks and my mind is very active with ideas.
I put that down to more interaction within the community that has given me extra motivation and in turn increased my creativity.
Thats lead me to this blog and the insight to do a few minor changes that give my website a more proffesional look.
For me it's important therefore to be active in the community not for a ranking number but the participation helps inspire and motivate you to be more insightful and creative with the motivation it gives back.
This is what it's done for me anyway so thanks everyone! I'll now leave you in peace ha ha!

Hi Elaine
That’s a really good idea! It shows another advantage of remaining active in the community and also how we learn with each other.
Best wishes
Darren
Darren,
Now you sound like you have been reading my blog post :)
I did this all day yesterday with one of the first websites I
made - it took me all day to rewrite and fix all the errors I
found - being new and after watching Jay at Live Training
Friday night I realized that the site was terrible absolutely
terrible - now it looks better and reads better!
The time and community all lead me to make it better
now I feel better about it.
Thank you for sharing and yes I do know exactly what you
are talking about!

Hi Susan
Well what can I say only
“Great minds think a like!” 😉
I tried to stay awake for jays webinare but fell asleep while listening to it. Perhaps my subconscious must of soaked up the information jay provided as it did click as I stared at the home page.
I’m glad you got to sort out your website and your happy with it.
Have a good week!
Darren
You are so right! Our website is like a shop window and we need to keep looking at it to make sure it is appealing to our viewers.
Thanks for your post.

Hi guys
Hope your well.
Thank you, I learnt that from my first boss and no matter what I’ve done for the thirty years since, I’ve always remembered that!
Thank you for sharing. I have only been here a week or so, but the encouragement from other members is certainly spurring me on. I am a bit of a perfectionist, so I have to ignore the urge to keep looking at what I have done so far, and concentrate on adding to it instead. All the best, Diane
I think your right Diane.
My sites just under 2 years old so it’s got a lot of content on there so for me I’m at that point where small adjustments can make a big difference.
Basicially I just cleaned up my menu and side bar which made it look much cleaner and professional.
if your just starting out there’s plenty of time for this as content is the most important thing.

Yes, I agree with you about website clutter.
If I am reading something on the web, I don't like ads all over the place. I would rather see an affiliate link then an ad flashing all over the page. I have MS so I have an issues with flashing lights of any kind.
Thank you for sharing,
Dana
