Pinterest Surprise!
Pinterest Surpise
Well I don't normally pay much attention to the analytics on Social media but I noticed a number under my profile name this morning that really surprised me and was nice to see.
To my amazement and astonishment I might add I noticed that my engagement of my boards was around 149k for this month!
I did check last month and it was roughly 8k so I did have to look twice!
New Stragety?
I always pin my articles to pinterest as soon as they are published, that has never changed but what I have started to increase is the number of hashtags I include in my post.
I always add at least 4 hashtags to my posts and I beleive this has made an enormous difference.
in the last 30 days I have had 148,829 views with 15,378 of engaged viewers.
Pinterest Analytics gives you some great data and will give you readings on what pins are performing.
I now know that I am getting visits to my Website through Pinterest and this is showing also in more sales this month.
My top performing pins are all from my Niche website resulting in 28 vidits to the website and pins were saved 32 times.
I am quite certain that this has lead to sales especially for the minecraft blockopedia survival guide as I sold one of these the other week.
The Power of Hashtags
Pinterest has been a popular topic in our community of late and there are plenty of articles and training available to learn how to operate on this platform.
Pinterest does use hashtags which they never used to. In my opinion that I have concluded from the stats I've shared then Hashtags have made a massive difference for my business and my exposure on social media.
I have 238 Followers!!
yes I have just 238 followers yet I am getting almost 149k of unique visitors. Of course some of these followers will help increase my visitors but Hshtags have made the difference in my opinion.
Website Content and Consistency
Without content you aren't going to get the visits you want so it is another reason to be consistant with adding content to your website and by getting clicks from pinterest visitors to your website through the links you add on your pin will help your page rankings on search engines as it is another avenue.
On google analyitcs you will see where your web visits come from such ass organic, referrals, social media etc.
You should see an increase of web visits coming from social as you attract click throughs to your website.
Therefore it all comes bsck to our basic training -
Content is Key to everything!
Without content on your website you cannot advertise your Niche as you will be limited on what you can share on platforms such as Pinterest as the aim is still to drive your visitors to your website.
Content creates engagement but as pinterest is also a visual platform make sure you have attractive images and they are clear and intentful for your Niche.
It's also ideal to have other boards with your interests in, don't just have it with you posting Niche images.
With your interests posted on subject boards you can attract visitors to other boards as they will be interested in your profile.
This works for me anyway but I am always keen to learn other strageties if you want to share them below.

Well done! I have started adding hashtags, yet when I search for that hashtag, my pin does not come up... Very confused :/
I’m not sure as to why they won’t show up but perhaps there maybe numerous pins attatched to those hashtags ?
Keep adding them as even if they aren’t showing up for you they will be on other members feeds.
I have just gone to check my Pinterest account which I opened 2 days ago... It says "1k monthly users"... What the heck??? Lol... That can't be possible...
I just started to use #s and I know I should they just slip my mind but not anymore. Cool post
