I don't even know how to start this. But I know I have to let it out. Do you know that feeling when your effort seems to be in vain? When something you do in good attention hits back at you like a slap in the face? When you feel your presence is not appreciated? Well, today I encounter not one, not two, not three, but four of them. They all come one after another and the day has just started! It seriously made me question myself: why even bother?

Why would I bother helping someone when in return I get negative feedback or attitude? Only thing I get from it is a bad mood which affects my desire to do anything that day. The problem is, it happens here, in the place where I love to spend my time, my "facebook" place...

And it is not something that happened just today. It happened on several occasions before. It shouldn't be that way here. Helping someone shouldn't make you feel like garbage afterward.

I am really willing to help ANYONE, and put aside everything I do and devoted my entire time and attention to the person having a problem, no matter how much that problem seems small to me or easy, to them it is like a mountain! Anyone I ever helped can vouch to that. And I know that feeling when there is something you feel you can not overcome or pass.

But for now, I am steping back; taking one step back and pulling a hand brake. It affects my mood, productivity, development, and perception of this beautiful WA place. I too have feelings, and if it means to step aside to keep myself calm and keep this as my safe place, that is exactly what I will do.

Keep staying wonderful and develop this place.

Best wishes,

Dalibor.

Well you helped me out very much. Keep your head up and stay focused on you. Thanks for your help

This is a great post and sometimes to keep our sanity we have to take that step back even in helping someone else.

I know that I have to take a step back once in a while myself. There is nothing wrong with that. I enjoy helping others myself but sometimes we get to close to the situation and get hurt in the process.

I have been down this road too many times but I still help others no matter what. You have to do what is right for you right now and if that means stepping back then that is what you need to do then.

Mary

Hi Dalibor, there can be a message there. You seem to be taking ot too. Step back a little. As much as we love helping others through their issues, it still takes their own thoughts and actions to win through. Can't play the victim too long.
Then there's the saying we are a result of the 5 people we hang around with. They tend to influence us most.
WA as you know is like FB without that which you speak.
Maybe shift your fun place to be as you like it from FB to WA.
People certainly need help here, but they will always appreciate encouragements.

You're right, you ARE fast to help someone and help them thru their issues, I know, I'm one of them.

You are good at what you do, and you enjoy it. Don't let some other people's bad mood turn you away. Like you said, step back, clear your head. And remember why you're here. And remember, too, that you DO have some friends here. :)

I have done that. People are human; therefore they will piss you off from time to time, and do the wrong things either intentional or unintentional but how you respond can make the difference. Be the bigger person than them and stay humble.

Sometimes you just gotta look after you . Keep on sailing brother

Stay positive Dalibor! Don't get those ' negative ' people affects you . You have done your part and if they don't take this seriously and take it on board it is down to them .. Thanks for helping people in need in this WA community and stay away from those pessimistic people.
Take care !

I know this can hurt. But don't let that change you. Let Your conscience be the judge - if it tells you you did the right thing - just keep doing it.
I wish there were more people around like you. Keep up the good work.

I have recently experienced this very thing myself, it happens on here sometimes. Its very painful indeed
