How I Become More Productive

I think I am a very organized person. My working space, however, is a creative mess, but I still know exactly where each thing is. But, if I don't plan specifically something, I tend to get those things done along the way, as they come. Or as I fell like it. And as you can tell, that is not a very good quality for business developing.

I also love my everyday ritual, such as morning coffee in the local bar, watching favorite TV series and playing games. But, they are time consumers. And there are only 24 hours a day at disposal, so if I am not careful, the time I dedicated to my rituals can take over the majority of my free time.

So a few days back, I was thinking, how should I enhance my time to fit the needs? I tried not to watch TV shows, but it turned out I was constantly thinking about it, and I wasn't focused on writing or researching my site. It led to me not being productive and annoyed for missing my TV show. The same thing was with the games I play.

So I remembered I have an old laptop laying down somewhere. A friend gave it to me after he bought a new one.

This one had Vista on it still lol. And since support for it stopped a long time ago, I decided to change its OS. And I bought a new battery since the old one was dead.

Anyway, I decided to bring a laptop with me when I went to coffee, and I used it to read emails and interact with people here in WA.

I offered several comments on other people posts, did some research for my future topics, and wrote this post. All that while enjoying my morning coffee in the local bar.

The point of this blog is to show how you can make small adjustments in your everyday routine and still being productive. You don't neccessery need to cut something off from your life to be productive.

Yes, sometimes there will be no other way. But most of the time, you will be able to modify your routine and still be able to do what you have to.

I encourage you to rethink your situation and time using to your pleasure. I don't want to say you shouldn't have the time for your self, but sometimes it can be used more productively.

What are the little rituals that you don't want to give up? How do you plan your time, and how do you find a way to use for your business? Do you struggle with it? I would love to hear your opinion and solutions.

Best wishes,

Dalibor

That is a very good suggestion. I just wrote an article on habits. My reference says when you want to replace a habit, find 3 actions you can perform that will help you. Taking your laptop with you to get coffee, and then answering comments seems like a couple of steps in the right direction.

This is great advice! Thank you for sharing that here :)

Thank you for these great tips.
Sometimes it only takes a few adjustments
that we don't always think about to get the
machine moving.

Thanks
Ingrid

I so agree with you. Usually, the solution is right in front of us, but we don't see it because we tend to complicate things.

Have a nice day,
Dalibor :)

Hi Dalibor T! Thanks for this post...this is something i need to work on myself,so i can be more productive.I think the best way here to manage our time better, which i think we all need to,for us to be more productive...is to prioritize the things we need to do on daily basis, cause there are some of the rituals that people do which are a very important part of their lives...so as we plan our day;we divide it maybe into two headings:important & urgent VS important, but not urgent...then start tackling your to do list in that order.this can help most of us not to waist our time on things that are not important either urgent.

Very good advice and a view. I agree there are more important stuff and less one, and it is our obligation to separate them.

Thank you for commenting and providing your opinion :)
I hope everything is ok with you?

Best wishes,
Dalibor

Hi Dalibor. So nice to see you.

I too have a morning coffee ritual and I read my WA emails and posts each day.

Then I work out and it kind of goes down hill from there unless I write out my goals the night before.

What you have written is thought provoking. I am in the middle of a house transition and will start doing my goals every day again.

Thank you, this was spot on for me.

Laura

Hello Laura, nice to see you here, and so nice to meet another morning coffee lover :)

Writing goals is the best way to stay focused and on track. Kudos if you can keep up with it.

Never forget to prioritize your needs. Your health and life existence come first always.

And I am sure you are pulling it off as you should :)

Have a wonderful day.
Dalibor.
