You can set your home page to be a blog roll and all your posts will show there. Static Pages and Blog Rolls If you want a selection of posts to show elsewhere then you do it using categories. WordPress Categories Tutorial Hope this helps. :)

I am in the process of completing my first site, but I need to know if it's necessary to activate the Akismet plugin and pay for that subscription?
Sign up for the personal free account at first. You will not be posting many affiliate links at first because you want to get a following established first and some blog or posts written.

I would definitely recommend getting an API key and activating Akismet. I believe it's a sliding scale, pay-what-you-like fee. Akismet blocks spam comments, and there will be tons. Having to sort through comments, read and delete each spam comment can be a big waste of time, so it's really worth it. Best wishes for success with WA!
