I didn’t start my online learning journey from Wealthy Affiliate. I had started in a smaller training platform with limited resources. He was not one of these brash guru type teachers. He was honest to goodness and helped to get my feet wet in the basics of online marketing.By the time I arrived in WA, I wasn’t exactly a newbie in the processes of Online Marketing.

My progress at WA has been modest but this has nothing to do with WA. Since I became a member in late 2017, my wife and I have moved houses twice. Any one who has moved houses before knows how disruptive it can be. One of the movements took me so far away from my job that I had scarcely any energy left to look at anything Wealthy Affiliate after the long commute.In the end, I had to quit the job.

I am working in the health and fitness niche. I think this niche is highly competitive with big-time companies and corporations throwing in wads of cash to advertise their products and seize their market share. I am prone to think that little Joes like me hardly have a chance pitting ourselves against such heavy titans. But the metrics are so astronomical that I am convinced that even a small bitsy slice of the pie is worth the effort.

One of the things that has endeared me to WA is the ease in building websites on the WA platform. I have always feared building a website from scratch. I am not in any way techie so I have always dreaded all the coding stuff that goes into building a website. WA and Wordpress have put paid to all that fear.

I have three websites to my credit but all three are in the rudimentary stage. Technically I have one. The other two are for experimentation. I am yet to add the aesthetics and bring it to the level of acceptance I have seen in my competitor websites.

I have had three of my blog posts indexed by Google. The last one got indexed while still in Site Content. I had not even published it on my website yet!

My plan in the next three months is to finish the online certification course. I will need to increase my number of blog posts exponentially by publishing a post every other day.

After two years, I have just learnt that engagement with affiliate members on WA site boosts ranking! I learnt it the hard way when I took a look at my ranking and found it in tens of thousands. I started welcoming new members and helping other members and noticed my rank plummet from tens of thousands to thousands. I have also seen a dramatic increase in the number of followers. It was an epiphany for me. I had always wondered how some members have such a large following!.

Now that I have found that engagement with fellow affiliate members is the secret sauce of boosting ranking and gaining followership, I wish to help many more new members find their feet so they don’t behave like a deer caught in the head light when they enter the portals of WA for the first time. Did I just sound like WA co-founder, Kyle?

There is so much material thrown at new entrants that there’s a tendency for them to be overwhelmed with all that information. I have to say that WA has helped to reduce the overwhelm by correctly sequencing the information and giving them in byte sizes accompanied with hand ons to further solidify the knowledge

A serious concern for me is a lack of belief in the online marketing possibilities for me. This lack of belief is largely responsible for my lacklustre performance within the two year period. My limiting belief is a major psychological block I have to work on within the next six months because it is only when I believe I can make it in the online space that I will make it. My belief fuels my motivation.

I need to work on my focus too.I am so scattered that I get easily distracted by what is going on around me. The few times I have engaged in concentrated work, I have had positive dividends.

It is only when I am able to replace this negative mindset with a strong belief system that I can achieve my goal of replacing my 9-5 job with an online presence. I will strive to make it possible within the next six months. So help me God!

Is this feeling peculiar to me or are there other WA members who are plagued by limiting beliefs in their ability to make it in the online space. I would like to know your thoughts on this subject.
