From the get-go, Wealthy affiliate encourages you to share your story with fellow members. The WA blog offers you unlimited opportunities to share your thoughts and ideas in writing. You become a writer by practicing writing just as you become an artist by doing art. It allows the community to offer helpful comments as you go along Through continuous writing, you improve your writing skills and gain the confidence that comes only with daily practice.
It’s a two-way street. As you write daily, you give the WA community the opportunity to review your work and offer helpful comments. You also have the opportunity to offer your comments on other people’s writings by giving feedback. If you get good at offering feedback and get certified, you can even earn some money giving feedback
The Wealthy Affiliate Community:
It is a warm and welcoming group of entrepreneurs who are ready to bend over backward to help you succeed. It offers you the social support that you need to succeed as an Affiliate Marketer. In other programs, you would pay through the nose to have such support. Instead of having one mentor, you have multiple mentors!
In my opinion, the community is WA's unique selling proposition. It is made up of entrepreneurs in many countries at different stages of accomplishment, from the highly successful to the newbie. They just do not toot their horns. It seems to be an unwritten code here. There is such a wide pool of knowledge and experience that whatever your question is, it stands to benefit from the pool of experience.
If you ever have a question you cannot wrap your hands around, all you need to do is ask it and one or more members would step forward to answer your questions. What this does is give you the idea, you are not alone and help you erase your fear of overwhelm
Replace Fear with Knowledge
As you burrow into the studies, you will find out that you are not only gaining knowledge but acquiring confidence by the day. The information is fed to you in dribs to ensure that you are not overwhelmed. It is matched by practical hand-ons which you use in building your websites. The idea behind this is to make the knowledge permanent by matching the theoretical knowledge you gain from the information you read with practical know-how.
You are amazed at the warp speed you build your website and learn how to monetize it. You become more knowledgeable and less afraid of the process. Once you are able to eliminate fear, learning new things becomes fun and less scary. At this stage, you are ready to assume ownership of your business.
Run your Race
Wealthy Affiliate puts you in the driver’s seat. It gives you the training and a platform to start your very own online marketing business possibly for the very first time. It however makes it apparent to you that it is your race and you will need to do the running yourself.
In running this race, you are bound to come across obstacles both internal and external. Remember it is a marathon and you need all the reserve of energy to continue the race. You will discover certain things about yourself, you don’t even know existed. You will need to deal with them especially if they are holding you back from engaging in the race. To date, I am still dealing with procrastination.
One of the most unhelpful things you can do is comparing yourself with others just because we are all wired differently and we come on this platform with different skill sets.
Some people are fast-paced. Teach them something and they go at it with zap speed. Other people are turtles and they go at a slow speed. As long as you don’t take your eye off the ball, you are fine. It’s just a question of timing. You just need to make up your mind, you are in this for the long haul.
Reframe Fear as Excitement
Your continuous learning and mastery of the OEC course help you reframe the fear of the unknown that dogged your steps when you first cane on this portal. For some of us who have had little or no background knowledge in Affiliate Marketing, we just did not know what we were getting ourselves into. For those that have no computer experience, WA is a bit intimidating. I know when I first started, all these people saying hello kind of freaked me out to be honest. Sometimes it takes a while to get your bearings. However, once you jump off the deep end and start the classes, it's AMAZING how quickly you gain confidence when you see what you've accomplished.
Then it's also important to get involved within the community. A lot is gained there as well.
So, for all those on the edge looking in -- just take the leap and DO it.

I remember the paralyzing fears I had when I first started. Most of us did. But you know what? As I began to take that step of faith and make meaningful progress in my studies, my confidence started growing.
For me, the WA community was a confidence booster. It gave me the impression I was not alone.

This is a very inspiring post, Dada, and helpful to both newbies as well as folks who have been here a while, but are moving slowly or maybe even not at all. I could see it being just the thing to jumpstart folks that are in several places in their journey.
