How can I have a website in french and English is it a plugins? Do I have to translate everything myself?
David some themes are translation ready no plugin needed. If yours is not there are several plugins available.
Google "translation plugins fo WP" and you will have several choices.
One thing to watch for is support some plugins offer no support unless you purchase their premium package.

You can use plugins for translation but I would recommend translating everything yourself because the quality would be a lot better. I have done a few English/French websites for clients and automatic translation was always kind of bad.
Great advice Alex. I know I'm a bit late but what has changed here at WA for us Frenchies? Because I plan on creating my website in French but debating on whether I should create it in both languages
