I need to pick one niche for now I know this I have several things I am passionate about just not sure which to start with would like some feed back on how to go about deciding

Hi Cynthia, starting out it can be as much about learning the processes as about picking the niche.

In narrowing it down, one if the things you can look at is some of the issues you have with something you are passionate about.

Probably look at how you are going to create content, it can be hard to get blood out of a stone, so first up go for the one that you could write most about.

Try not to over think things, just back yourself and go with what you intuitively feel.

The approach I use to find niches is to find a problem and then build a website around solving that problem. For instance, I know a lot of people own dogs but have trouble training them.

That's a problem so if I was in the pet niche I would build a site around helping people with dog training ( it can be narrowed down further). I could promote products within this niche and earn a commission. This approach can be used in absolutely any niche.

Ultimately, pick a niche that you are interested in so will be able to write quality content for years to come. Hope this helps.

Cynthia,
Well, lets see if we can get you closer to your decision. For starters, in your browser search bar, type in google trends and hit enter. On the ensuing webpage, click on Google Trends. When the page opens, enter one of the niche ideas you have in mind and hit enter. When the results come up, take a look at what you see.

Now, still in the same page, it gives you the option to put in more terms in the next box. Just put in another niche term that you are considering and press enter. You can enter several terms and this way, you can see what is ranking better in what is trendy.

One the results, scroll down and you should see a map of your area (US, Eur...) and then to the right of that it will list areas such as states. If you click on a state (or area) it will open up to narrower results by city.

Now go find your niche!

I'd pick the one you think you can write the most about. In the end it's all about quality content. Picking the one you know the most about will mean less research as you're starting out.

Thank you that makes a bunch of sense I have wrote those key suggestions down. I will know work on that. Cynthia
