Recently I've been noticing a drastic increase in hacking attempts on one of my sites. They say any attention is good attention, but this is the kind I can live without.

Fortunately I've been using the "Limit Login Attempts" plugin. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

I'll say right now that the developer of this plugin has not updated it lately. But in the end, it simply works. Nothing fancy, easy to setup to your needs.

It can even email you to let you know when attempts have been made against your site, as well as what names the hackers are trying to use to login (admin, test, your site name, etc ...)

So if you have no other means of security for your site, at least consider this one.

You'll be glad you did!
